I know this doesn't mean that much this early in the season, but I just thought it was kind of interesting to look at. People over at CBS apparently like us, they have us as a 4 seed in their latest Bracketology that just came out today... Like I said I know it doesn't mean much this early in the season, but I thought it was pretty interesting!

While I love seeing us as a 4 seed, I don't really respect Palm's opinion and that's not gonna change because of a favorable rating from him. This seems a little generous, even with as well as we've played recently...

We've still got plenty of time to earn it though.

It's a snap shot in time and what has been earned to this point. A season is made up little parts. Just kep winning.

It's fun to read about the Cats but regular season conference title comes first, then conference tourney and finally NCAA. I'll worry about seeding after the first two. Again it is good to see others thinking highly of Cats.

Joe Lunardi has us as a #6 seed right now, in the same bracket with Ohio State as a #2 seed. Sound familiar?

Obviously none of this means anything now -- or, ever really, since Joe Lunardi isn't on the selection committee. I would love another shot at OSU though.

Up to #5 in Joe Lunardi's latest bracketology. In the same bracket as Xavier and Kentucky.

I think we would give Xavier a much better game this time around and I think that we could beat UK if we had a good offensive game. UC can hang with anyone if they play well. We just need to continue to build consistency on offense. If we can continue to play great defense and find a way to score just a little bit more, I would be very pleased. 72-75 ppg would be a nice mark to shoot for.

I think UK would be one of the worst matchups possible. We don't have anyone big enough to keep Randle from camping out in the post. Also, we are not a very good defensive rebounding team, while UK is the #1 offensive rebounding team in the country. Not sure how Jackson would score against Cauley-Stein either. Terrible matchup!

UK is not nearly as experienced as UC is, they are an immature team. Talented, yes, but not very disciplined. I know someone inside the program there, this UK team isn't nearly as strong as previous teams. He isn't impressed, says they have a lot of pieces but they don't play like a team. I don't know anyone from UC, but we are pretty good this year. UC won't get blown out by anyone if they play good defense, which they do about 95% of the time. UK is comparable to Memphis this year, not saying we would dominate them, but we would have as good a shot as any to beat them this year.

Memphis doesn't have two lottery picks on their front line. UK is a horrible match up for UC. The best match up for UC is a guard heavy team...all the 3 other 4 seeds would be MUCH better match ups...

Memphis has plenty of talent and even more experience than UK's frontline. Plus we would be playing UK at a neutral site, not at their house. UC can hang with anyone, all I said is that we could beat UK if we had a good offensive game. Never said it was an ideal matchup, but we shouldn't be afraid of anyone. We will see against U of L if we can beat a good team on the road, but I can almost bet we won't get blown out. This UC team doesn't go down without a fight very often. I think we have a tendency to look at UK and other big programs as unbeatable, and that certainly isn't true. Arkansas just took out UK, we could do it also. Again, do you get what I'm saying? I'm not saying we would be favored, but it wouldn't be impossible.

If Jackson stays out of foul trouble, we are just as formidable as anybody UK has played against this year thus far.

Lol what the hell are you talking about? Just stop. This particular Kentucky team is a bad match up for UC, they have two lottery picks on the frontline which is exactly where UC is weak. It is just that simple...

Cincinnati is as formidable as Michigan State? Come on man, take it easy. UC has played well this year but don't go crazy.

We beat Syracuse in the Big East tourney a few years ago, and I would've called you crazy if you would've said that UC would win before the game. My point is no matter who we play, we probably won't get blown out of the gym. UK has more internal problems than you would realize, the players are selfish. I'm not saying this to say it, I heard it straight from my UK source, who goes to every practice and game. I have only watched them a few times this year, but I value this source, as he kept telling their whole National Championship year that they were the best team he had seen in some time. Last year, he told me multiple times it would be a rough year.

Here are stats to back it up:http://valueaddbasketball.com/ballteam.html
UC ranked 5th, UK 24th. Again, we would definitely be an underdog, but how can you act like we would get curb-stomped? This is a tough UC team, I think when the year is over, we will only have one other horrible game besides the Xavier game. Even New Mexico, a really tough road game, we weren't completely crushed like you seem to think we would be against UK.

Lets stop acting like Kentucky is unreal man, its not a bad match at all and we may be favored to win(We probably will be ranked higher this Monday). Not afraid of them at all, and think we would win. Who cares about lottery picks this is college. And anyways i would definitely take the jj and sk combo over the james young and Randle combo any day. Im sorry we are a better TEAM and cronin is a better coach than calipari.

Exactly, I just get tired of pessimism by Bearcats fans. Even when you look at our team objectively, we only have one loss where we just got destroyed. This is a solid UC team and UK, as seen in the Arkansas game, isn't unbeatable.

With our defense...we are always one DECENT shooting night away from a win against almost any team in the country. We don't even need to shoot lights out...just decent.

I am not saying we would win 2 out of 3 games against the top 10...but we can maybe manage 1 of 3...and that gives us a "decent" puncher's chance.
