If my records are correct Cash Wright is going to smash the all time steals record at UC. I don't know if the UC record book includes post season and I don't know if Cash's totals include post season but...

The record (on UC website) is 189 and Cash has 173 (or so) right now. He has 25 this year through 12 games and if you project that to 30 games he will end up with roughly 210. Last year he had 70+ including post season I think which in itself was a single season record.

In addition to that Cash is hitting over 46% threes and if he maintained that pace would end up second all time for a single season (over 121 attempts). But if he attempts more than 168 this year which is highly probable he could hold the record for best % for more than 168 attempts. I doubt he will beat McClendon at 47.5% up to 168 attempts...although I won't count him out.

The 4 greatest 3 pt shooters in UC history in my opinion (in this order) are...

Burton
Logan
Williams
Durden

This is considering the amount of attempts and % over a career. Cash has a very good chance of besting all of them for a single season. The best was Williams at 43.7%.

I wasn't around for Mclendon or Saunders so I can't speak for them...

I can't believe Van Exel is not on that list...

I guess it depends on how you get your looks...because Williams definitely didn't create his own looks too much. Van Exel did...Burton did...Logan did...Durden was more of a set shooter. Van Exel made some of the greatest 3 pointers I have ever seen and probably ever will. Burton had the fastest release.

Fastest deadly release = Burton
Big Game Creators = Van Exel + Logan
Set Shooters = Williams and Durden
All around = Logan + Van Exel

Cash is in good company...

Bobbitt should be really close too. He may not have been the most consistent shooter ever, but he could light it up from beyond the arc better than anyone when he was hot. If you needed a quick 9 points, they just kept giving him the ball.

Just saw your last line. Otherwise, I was going to say you never saw Roger McClendon. Great shooter on bad teams. Singlehandedly beat a great Louisville team that had Milt Wagner and Pervis Ellison on it, one year.

Here's the link to the story: http://articles.latimes.com/1986-01-21/sports/sp-31261_1_villanova

McClendon gave other teams fits. It was fun playing Louisville because watching Denny Crum get frustrated was enjoyable.

That was back when they played all their games at the Coliseum, now called US Bank arena.

Career UC 3 pt FG %:
Williams 40.1%
Burton 39.4%
Durden 38.5%
Logan 37.8%
Van Exel 35.8%
Levitt 34.8%

Based on a minimum of 100 attempts.

Cash Wright for his career is only a 34.2% three point shooter even with his great season this year.

Kilpatrick in 3 years is a 37.4% career three point shooter.
Parker is a career 31.9% career three point shooter due to a bad sophomore season.

Jackson has approximately 92 career blocks in 84 games. If you figure he has roughly 48 more career games and he continues kicking it up a notch, he'll end up in probably the top 5 in career blocks. For example, Donald Little is 4th with 153.

One can only imagine where Cash would've been had he not torn his ACL.
