waterhead, I love your optimism, but if you aren't concerned by now, you're living in the clouds. A team that gets blown out by Illinois and goes scoreless for 3 quarters against one of the worst teams in the FBS is going to have a hard time not getting their doors blown off against Rutgers, let alone Louisville. Not saying they can't still run the table in the AAC if they get things figured out, but I haven't seen the team look this poor since Butch's first year.

This is the kind of post I like. Critical yes, but leaving the option open for a come back...which we have done since this post. At this point in time it looks like my head may have been right here on Earth (rather than in the clouds) the whole time. But this guy kept his options open by saying "if they get things figured out". Rather than saying "we have no chance and we are screwed".

Robert is much more the realist than a pessimist. I am not a big fan of eternal optimists or pessimists. My point? Don't over-react too early in the season. Especially with a new coaching staff. I would also caution UC BB fans to do the same right now...we haven't played enough good teams yet to understand how good we are.

Since Roberts post our coaches have figured out that we are a passing team and that we have one of the most accurate and efficient passers in the ENTIRE NCAA. When they finally realized that...we have looked pretty damn good.

Should we blame the coaches? No. They had a different strategy in mind when they came here. They wanted to run the ball. They even recruited two Juco RB's to come in to help do that.

Well, they finally figured out our team wasn't cut out for that until they get their own recruiting classes to work the game plan they really want. But for now they are making adjustments they would probably rather not make...and their adjustments are working.
