Didn't we beat Nebraska pretty easily? Not that it means we would beat OSU, but I think we would have a better shot this year than when we played them 2 years ago.

If Jermaine Lawrence was healthy, I think we would beat OSU on a neutral floor. Our teams are actually remarkably similar. Great defensively, ugly offensively, lack of front court depth... they have a true big in Amir Williams, but Jackson is a better player on both ends of the floor. I would say OSU is a slightly better outside shooting team, but I like our defense and our chemistry better. OSU also lacks a go-to guy like we have with Kilpatrick. LaQuinton Ross shows flashes, but he's not as reliable as SK.

We also rebound a little better and force more turnovers. I think we would win 7 out of 10 times against OSU on a neutral court, with most of the games being in the 50's.

OSU being ahead of us in the coaches' poll is another example of the big-name bias. They haven't beaten a single team worthy of at-large tournament consideration.

Aaron Craft is so good that his team has lost 4 games in a row. Now that is what I call senior leadership from one of the greatest guards these eyes have ever seen.

Yes we did. By about 15 and it really should have been more.

Having said that, OSU beat them at home by 31. This is a good example of 1.) the difference between home and road (I believe ervin was talking about this earlier) and 2.)why you shouldn't read too much into any one game.

OSU and Cincinnati are actually incredibly similar teams this year. Fantastic defense but an offense that struggles to score.

Nah. If Cash would've had a healthy senior year I think he would've been better than Craft.

Cash was a better scorer, Craft is better at making those around him better.

I think Cashmere was a better on ball defender than Craft. Cashmere was better at getting steals than anyone I've ever seen. If he didn't hurt his knees and lose all his lateral quickness his overall defensive game would have been phenomenal.

Craft is extremely overrated.

No way on the on ball defending. As for getting steals, the numbers don't support you either: Here are the steal rates (%) for each player over their four years:

Cash: 2.4, 3.3, 4.0, 3.3

Craft: 4.1, 4.7. 3.8, 4.0

Not trying to go against Cash or anything, but didn't Craft win defensive player of the year and lead the country in steals? I'm pretty positive he did, and I don't think Cash was ever considered for a defensive player of the year. So yes I agree Cash is a better scorer, but I disagree and think Craft is a better defender.

If Cash could have remained healthy and had the same supporting cast as Craft I have little doubt he would have been a better overall player then Craft.

The PG's role is to run the offense and make others better. I'd say the success the TOSU program has experienced is at least partly due to Aaron Crafts efforts. To say otherwise is silly. Calling him over rated with the amount of achievemants his team has gained is foolish. Do you think that TOSU would have enjoyed the success it has without him? If not he can't be overrated. you may not like how the announcers fawn over him and puff him up for TV but that isn't his fault and has nothing to do with his value. It is advertising and the kid shouldn't be downgraded for that.

If Caupain can achieve the kind of success Aaron has in his career at PG and the team has the same results I will be very happy with him and I certainly wouldn't call him over rated.Questioning the refs calls as they pertain to him while watching on TV or in the stands is opinion not fact. Something tells me if he played for UC and he was recruited by MC you would have a different opinion of him. Downgrading him becasue you think he gets away with hand checking is like argueing that Glavine and Maddux each got at least 3 inches off the black for a strike zone and that is the reason they won so many games. By the way both of them are in the HOF.

What I'l agree to is Aaron is over hyped by media types. He is white which many who watch are, he is squeaky clean as far as image goes and he plays for a big brand. They use him to sell fan interest. Like ND in Football you either love them or hate them. His peers and Coaches understand his value and respect his game. To say otherwise is not factual.

Just to add on to what is being said about Cash. He was one of the best of getting steals and having quick hands. Craft is a good on the ball defender but Cash was great at stripping the ball.
