Well since this is a thread about "Coach Tuberville", and the state of the program is less than stellar, should anyone be surprised that it has morphed into those who support the coach (1 person that I can see) and those that do not (all the others)?

By all accounts, TT is a nice guy, gets along fine with the press and media, is liked by the administration, and most supporters of the school. But the RESULTS when counted in wins-loses-championships-bowl games are NOT on a par with what others have accomplished at the school in the recent past.....and the natives are restless. Should anyone be surprised by that?

M.....can you give us a clear, fact filled, unemotional, and logical list of reasons why you think the results will change if TT is left in charge?

Hoard says he is the easiest coach he has worked with and I've heard the same thing from others. They say he is a guy with a good sense of humor and an easy going personality. I don't know him personally, but I'll trust the judgement of those that do over pure speculation by those that do not.

One thing is for sure. Our current football is a joke right now. Coming out today at Temple and doing what a Tuberville led team does....flat. I also throw Zac Taylor in the mix because his offense play calling is horrid. To start today, already two 3&outs, a blocked put, and a terrible punt.

Zero improvement.

Now Tuberville complains about the Temple band and its volume being to loud.

Temple band replies via twitter: "to be clear, we were doing exactly what we are allowed to do. We did our job. Others should worry about doing their own while they still have ine #toosoon"

I literally fell out if my chair when I saw this and I wasnt even sitting down. This Tuberville guy, what a soft, excuse making POS. Get him out of my face and the entire university before we reach the pre-Minter years again.

Getting roasted by a band... That's just embarrassing.

Need to start at the top!

First things first.
We need a strong President at UC to set the tone. Is there another Santo out there? We have a very good AD with excellent communication skills and leadership abilities. He very much needs the support of a new President to move things forward. Once in place, the President can dictate the qualities we are looking for in the athletics program.......like Santo did and like the guy down the road in Cincinnati does for that other school in town.
Then we go after a strong, young, energetic coach to take the program back on the trajectory set by Dantonio, Kelly and Jones.
This will happen.........be patient.

Mike Bohn is a clown, Tubbs is a clown and this is a clown posting. Be patient?? I've lived in Cincinnati my entire life, I think I've been patient enough.

Fans of this program who keep preaching patience and making excuses for why we can't win need to go along with Bohn, Tubbs and Mick. Take your group of crap coaches and your lackluster expectations and move about 45 minutes northwest of here to Miami University. I'm sure they'd love to have all of you.

i have been one of tubbervilles biggest supporters and im never one to jump on a fire the coach bandwagon over few bad games or a bad season or 2 but something has to give. i think most of us thought it was a great fit in many ways including him not bolting at first oppurtunity to have him here but as time goes on i think its becoming clear hes just not the right guy.

Its almost like hes here just to collect a check and because it was good job security. Unfortunately in an attempt to get a coach to stay during his tenure we made for an expensive buy out and im just not sure the university can afford to fire him.

we shall see what happens but if tubbs is let go those who think uc is not an attractive job are not paying attention. its not a dead end job by any means u succeed at uc you are not only going to get a raise and be beloved but you will have chances at a better job. i think we need to get back to what got us to the top in the first place and get young motivated coaches even if it means they leave but if they leave that means they had success. also good recruiting is key. i just really hope uc does what obviously needs to be done

i just hope uc does the right thing now that big 12 is out of the question its not the end of the world but we need to make sure we stay at the top of the aac and tub just is not the guy to do that period

Wow

All I can say is wow.
I thoroughly enjoyed the successes of the three coaches prior to Tubs. It made all my years of patience prove worthwhile. You sound like you must have missed those years?
Also, I have had personal contact with Mike Bohn. He listens, makes thoughtful responses and is in touch, very much, with the current discord. Changes will happen with football...and we will move forward. But my point is that we need direction from the top first.
The absolute bitterness of your response suggests that you are not a Bearcat.
But I digress....
I have been on this site for a few weeks. You calling me a clown doesn't bother me. What bothers me is that 95% of the responses I read are written by folks who appear to take pleasure in just being jerks.
I'm out....don't need to be part of this.

I didn't call you a clown, I called it a clown posting. My bitterness isn't with you but the status of our athletic programs as a whole and the the constant urging from a small but vocal group of fans to be patient of accept the status quo.

I liked the Tuberville hiring at the time as well, for the same reasons.

No way Bohn is dumb enough to keep him around next year though. In the last 2+ seasons, we've lost 9 games by 2+ TDs (we've lost a few close games as well). We have come to far, and put too much money into this program to just get beat down so regularly.
Agreed. I know they don't have excess money, but I think it's so sily and short-sided that u raise $80M or whatever for stadium renovations, but don't have money to buy out the coach. Same for hoops: you better have enough money to pay your assistants Top dollar. If Stubblefield was so good, should have never let him get away. Period.

So true. I can't even discuss Stubblefield. Hurts too bad.

We've got a lot of guys coming. You're not going to be good every year. But this isn't the future, we're trying to win now - Tuberville

emphasis mine. woof.

Tuberville: I knew this was going to be a tough year. Thought we'd play better on offense, running it. We're not as fast, quick on offense

Is the next coach going to be able to recruit at the same level as Dantonio, Kelly, and Jones. They were in the Big East then. Presently, UC is not in a Power 5 Conference.

They should just concern themselves with being able to recruit at a level of a Houston or South Florida, first. TT hasn't shown himself capable of that.

I can not believe a head coach of a major college football team can get away with saying this! What type of expectations does he have for this team? Wow!
