Sky blade, at least be consistent man. Why do you invest everything in what one player says but then completely write off the ones who support the coach. You act like all the players hate him. That’s clearly not true at this point. I’m leaning more and more towards those guys just can’t handle the heat. I’m still no too happy with Brannen at this point, but your whole outlook is just funny. You keep trying to paint him as some dictator or something idk, some heartless man who mentally abuses and lies to his players, all because a few guys weren’t happy with their role. Mason left probably because his brother did, the rest who really cares, then you’ve got Eason Saunders and Harvey, I could have guess Eason and Harvey would transfer halfway through the season, that leaves one surprise and you’re putting all your eggs in that basket.

Yeah just a few guys, one or two maybe. Cumberland, Sorolla, Rap, Moore, Harvey, Diarra, Mason, Gabe, Eason and Saunders. And the strength coach, don't forget about him. But he's just a man quitting his job, just couldn't handle the heat either. And let's ignore the reports that Brannen had issues at NKU to, that was probably just a few players as well.

Occam's razor. It's a lot easier to say that one person - Brannen - is the problem than that most of the above players were.

Sure, DDJ likes Brannen and says he trust him. But he also says that he understands why the guys left, that the culture does need to change. That Brannen needs to change. He just believes that change will happen and was closer to Brannen than the others.

We don't know what happened, we have rumors, people reporting things they've heard and anonymous player quotes. That's probably all we will ever have. Some of those reports are that Brannen manipulated, deceived and lied to players.

They are one of the sources that aren't being paid to be nice to Brannen. They aren't trying to play nice to get access.

Only if I can expect a full apology to the departing players if Brannen is fired. Also, I have only referred to one specific player.

Saunders had two PM's leaked where he said he is leaving because of the coach. Brannen's wife was liking tweets trashing Saunders for leaving. Saunders mom went after Brannen for walking off the court early. This isn't reaching, this is stuff that is easily visible if you've been paying close attention.

Hard to believe Saunders would want to come back after that, hard to believe Brannen would want him back.

Probably 50% chance. Probably thought his long relationship with Brannen was gonna entitle him to walk right in as a starter playing starting minutes. When he didn’t he cried.

Brannen messed up. Does it rise to the level of abuse? Probably not. Does it rise to the level of him get fired? Hard to say. Is it entirely because of him? Probably not.

But it wasn't just the players. It's the coaches job to communicate, to build relationships outside of practice, to make the players feel welcomed, like they belong, like family. Huggins and Cronin did it, they could be could be hard on players on the court because of the relationships they built off the court. Brannen has failed. DDJ says he was an intermediary between players and coaches, that is a sign of a fractured locker room.

Does Brannen deserve a second chance? No. He wasn't paid 1.5 million to learn to coach. Will he get one? Maybe. 4.5 million is a lot of money.

If the transfers were saying they are leaving because of coach conduct and going to the AD to request an investigation into the coach. Then yeah, there probably would be a lot of coaches getting terminated.

They are 2 guys with a podcast. They have less info than us. Just because they aren’t being paid doesn’t mean they know anything. I’m not being paid, I don’t know what’s going on

Nothing is substantiated and most of it probably never will be. If you were going to take that position, I wouldn't have a disagreement with you. But my position is more substantiated than the position that the players are just soft.

I’m only saying they are soft due to your extreme opinion that they are angels and Brannen is the devil.

I believe it’s a combination of both sides issues plus covid. I don’t care if Brannen is fired but I don’t think what’s transpired is something to be fired for. The problem is you want him fired and will grasp any straw or push any narrative to support you point. You refuse to accept that the majority of transfers you keep citing probably left for reason not related to , what you say is, misconduct.

It would be weird for any player to return but there is obviously rumors out there. Like you said, where there is smoke there is fire, right?

And as I've said, the door is not closed comment from Saunders today is almost certainly not about him coming back to play for Brannen. The Saunders/Brannen relationship is clearly fractured and probably both are at fault to a degree. The Saunders/Brannen relationship is clearly fractured and probably both are at fault to a degree. I very much doubt Saunders wants to come back to play for Brannen and I very much doubt Brannen wants him back.

If they fired Brannen the new coach wouldn’t want those players back anyway. A new coach would be walking in egg shells that a crying unhappy player will get him fired.
