What’s supposed to happen? I don’t understand what you’re expecting.

I'm not sure what to expect. Just saying that DDJ made it clear that the situation had not been resolved at the administrative level when the interview occurred. It also seemed like he thought something would come out publically ("come to a head soon" were his word I think).

Either they are still investigating, they are debating if Brannen should be fired, they are for some reason waiting to fire Brannen (looking for cause or collecting money) or they are waiting to put out a statement of support. Who knows, I don't. All I know is that it doesn't seem like they've decided Brannen is staying.

I think this is wishful thinking from you. They don’t have to say anything. Ddj probably has no idea what the administration is thinking. A lot of assumptions going on from you from that one statement

You don't think the administration is going to tell the players and coaches when they've made a decision? DDJ made it clear they are expecting and waiting for news from Cunningham and the admin. It's a whole paragraph (second to last question), I'm just not copy/pasting the whole thing here cause it's a paid article.

If there’s nothing wrong, what would they tell the players? “Looks good guys”? Obviously if he’s fired, they’d know but anything other than that, what are they going to tell the players?

I haven't seen the article, but skyblade quoted DDJ as saying "We have to see with Mr. Cunningham and the rest of the administration how everything pans out."

That doesn't necessarily mean we are waiting on anything. It just means the decisions are in the hands of the AD.

And if you trust Lobot, here's some of his recent statements that go against skyblade's narrative:

Responding to comment about internal review: "I'm not sure that's what you think it is. There would have been an internal review of the program after the season anyway."

"We're most likely going to pick up a recruit today which is a strange occurence if the coaching staff isn't coming back."

"You have the option of throwing the former players under the bus. It would be a terrible decision for the department to do that. Therefore silence?"

"Going to to be a bit funny If the fanbase has gone completely off the rails at JB and it's not his fault after all. This is more and more looking like a combination of a mutiny and bad management."

"I don’t think he’s getting canned"

And are they going to tell the coaches nothing as well? You think Brannen won't tell the players if/when he is told he is staying? You are being obtuse. The coaches and players are going to be the first to know. Even if they tell the media nothing, they are going to tell the players and coaches.

I doubt you've read it. Here's a longer quote "But right now it’s out of our control. We have to see with Mr. Cunningham and the rest of the administration how everything pans out."

This is true of literally every single coach of any team in any sport at any time.

I’m sure there is an investigation into the severity of comments or issues. If it’s he said she said they won’t be able to do much other than tell coach to handle certain situations better.

If it’s obvious things are more serious than that....then a decision has to be made.

Most of this seems to boil down to Harvey and Saunders. Gabe was struggling to adjust. Mason so far no comment. Dou opted out and came back but struggled. Tari was given lots of opportunity but squandered many with fouls and TOs. Rap was a recruit that was botched.

With Harvey there was an assistant coach who sent the wrong message and a wife who made ill advised judgements. With Saunders it could just be we also got DD after his commitment and that never sat well with him. Maybe because John over sold Saunders who knows.

No clue on the strength coach but he was a far cry from Rehfeld. Players (and coaches) often hear what they want to when being recruited. But everyone tends to hear what they want. Perception is reality.

We will see if there ends up a smoking gun.

I don’t care if we fire they guy or not. But they better do it soon. Or don’t, whatever they are doing, do it soon.

Ddj quit also. And all the former players calling these players soft TRANSFERRED their damn self

It's kinda ironic that DDJ is now getting praise from that same group.

Not only did he opt out, he also transferred here due to lack of playing time at Michigan.

I think this misses the mark. Saunders had a clear road to both playing time and eventually starter role. DD may have had just one of those and Howard may have even had a heart to heart about getting minutes as well. The future was clear for the frosh to take over at some point.

And he opted out after giving it all he had and probably ran into exhaustion mental or physical or both. Then he opted back in so we know it wasn’t because he didn’t care or had a beef.

Many fans are saying Saunders was soft for crying about lack of minutes and clarity of role. DDJ got a new coach, but left over lack of minutes. Seems like he should have just worked harder and earned his minutes. /s

I don't blame any of these kids for leaving or opting out. It just seems like there is a massive double standard among a lot of fans. When a guy is on your team he can do no wrong and is going to develop into a star. The moment he leaves he wasn't any good anyway, wasn't tough enough and we're better off without him.

Horseshit! I’m tired of excuses from EVERYBODY, he quit on team when he seen NCAA wasn’t in future, once he seen team winning had chance at ncaa he came back and perhaps ****** up team chemistry.
