Those are the worst. I'm no athlete but I was hitting gym hard for a while, got something like that, lost all of my gains and more in 2 weeks. Not good.
 
He had some kind of virus and dropped 20 pounds in a week because he was sick...

not saying he didint get sick but 20 pounds is a lot from one week of sickness. He told me he has already lost 20 pounds this summer and plans to drive more this season. Some of that loss was definitely planned he's training to be lighter and quicker....
 
He's back to normal now, but the weight loss wasn't exactly planned...

I'm not sure if u mean normal health or body weight. But he is still down 20 pounds and I think he's planning on staying there because he wanted to be lighter. He was trying to lose weight this off season and some of that 20 came from his training...

He got sick and lost 20 pounds in a week. I'm telling you that as a fact...

He did drop about 10 pounds through training before getting sick. He told me he needs to put about 10 of muscle back on to get where he wants to be a few weeks ago...

OK ya when i talked to him he was just saying he was down in weight and was going to be more mobile. I dont doubt you on the sickness i was just saying he was trying to cut before getting sick and lost some weight from training too not just being sick. 20 is a big drop so I could understand him wanting about ten back on like you said.

Either way Robert is right that it is good timing. Your working hard on cardio and catch a bug, most likely a stomach virus and lose the weight and have to build your strength back.
