A couple thousand X fans.

Personally I hope they have half of the tickets and bring 6,500 fans to watch this one.

I anticipate UC winning the game by 30.

You also anticipated John Reik bringing a National Championship to UC. His 2.0 ppg average is looking good at Mississippi State.

I believe you anticipated Lance Stephenson to do the same...

Moral of the story, your predictions are the kiss of death to the University of Cincinnati.

Take a look at my Bearcat Christmas Gift thread- Taking myself and my father for our FIRST shootout. Extremely excited.

Section 221, Row 11... look for the Mel Levitt Jersey!!!

Yes sir! Greatone and I are in section 221 as well. Havent decided what im rocking yet, although the 97 warmup jersey is a strong possibility.

I'd kill for one of those warmups... all of the Jordan Brand stuff was just plain sexy.

Responded to your question in the discounted tickets thread btw.

Can't make the shootout but went to 3 during my time as a student at UC. In fact, I was the first person in line one year and was I interviewed on the news. I waited in line for 25 hours. Ah, the good old days.

You are off base or have memory lapses. John Reik did not come to UC, therefore, it is unknown, and will never be known, if UC would have won a NC with him.

I never predicted such about Lance Stephenson. After I saw Lance's first game, I ran him down on Bearcatnews, stated he was not the reincarnation of Oscar Robertson, and would not lead UC to NCAA Tournament success. I took all kinds of heat for that statement over at BCN but it turned out that The Ralph was 100% correct.

I posted that the Dayton and Miami games this year would not be close, once again correcto mondo.

All you have to do is look at XU's record, they have disguised their ineptitude by playing very lousy name teams such as Wake and Iowa. XU had to go to OT with IPFW and Wofford, XU lost to Bellarmine. Bobinski finally choked on it when he hired Chris Mack.

Xavier goes down to a Zags team whose missing their best player...

Stop one clown from driving and xavier is a struggling team..

What refs are doing this game? Hopefully someone who lets these guys play and not bail out clowns for putting there head down and driving nowhere.

Let me start by saying losing @ Gonzaga on a weeknight at 11 PM is not a bad loss at ALL. Even without their best player that is a damn tough game to win.

I hate the shootout because refs ALWAYS want to call it tight to make sure things don't get "chippy".

Their postmen haven't been too impressive IMO. I know Frease has looked better to me but he didn't look fluid to me last night. Mclean is better than he has been playing IMO. I think his injury is effecting his aggressiveness. Andrew Taylor really should not be seeing any time but I know they lack big guys.

Holloway is a great driver. He is built like a house. He really is not a great 3 point shooter. He likes to put his head down and get fouled. I think we will have success if we can pressure him and Lyons to turnover the ball.

I honestly believe we are playing better basketball right now although it is tough to tell because of our schedule.

- Our best 3 opponents:

(Neutral)Dayton, @Oklahoma, and @Miami

We have beat them by an average of 20 points.

- Xaviers best 3 opponents:

(Neutral) ODU, Butler, @ Gonzaga

They average losing these games by 5 1/2 points.

Gonzaga played the game with their best player and leading scorer out with back spasms, and XU came no where close to beating them.

Did you watch the game? They did have the lead at one point in the second half, and resorted to fouling late and lost by 10. To say they came no where close to beating them is a dumb statement. The game was not a blowout in any means, like you were insinuating.

Xavier was never in the game, the Zags merely rested a bit before crushing them even though the Zags were playing without their leading scorer. Xavier is a bad basketball team coached by a guy who in his playing days purposely through a basketball into the face of a Dayton player. Now there is a class act for you.

I'll take that as you didn't watch the game. How can a team not be in the game when they are leading in the second half, and then be losing by under double digits when they were losing for most of the game?
