People always say things are unattainable because they haven’t happened yet. People would have said Gonzaga was unattainable before it happened. Wichita, UConn women, UConn men even, us with Huggins. We know these program now but before we would have said they were unattainable. It’s hard yes. But can be done

his offense is the same as micks. chuck it up and go get it, but he had so much more talent on the offensive end.


we had no business beating them last year but they refused to run any offense and cost themselves the game.

They have 5 guards who flat out can score.

That’s 5 guards who are likely the best 5 guards on any team in the country.

They are 9th in offensive efficiency right now.

It’s about not just what Houston did but about where they are going. Id bet anyone on this board a 1000 bucks that over the next 3 years that Houston is better then UC or anyone else in the AAC.
 
It’s not a diss towards UC.

It’s praise for Sampson bringing life to an awful program who played in a busted as arena that now is top 10.

He’s legit. And it’s a well oil machine

which is why i said if they ran an offense that wasn't chuck it up and go get it off iso ball all game they could be unstoppable.

but they don't. still 221 in the country in eFG% this year.

but they do go get it on the offensive glass.



i would looooooooooooooooooove it if we had that roster.

I like Houston and Sampson. I think he is a better coach and recruiter than mick, so he will be able to do more with that system and style. But it still has flaws. I would want Gonzaga. All it would take is one deep run and 1 big recruit to buy in to get the snowball rolling. It’s hard but possible

I don’t think it matters.

Their defense will keep them in every game. And then in crunch time you have 5 killers who you can all get you a different kinda bucket. Sasser from 3, jarreau getting fouled, mills from mid range, and grimes from 3 or at the rim.

They have the kinda guards you want in the ncaa tourney.

Grimes is overrated and disappears. I’ve said for years, they would be better off without jarreau. He’s only good in pick and roll/iso situations. And during this time, no one else, their better players, are involved. The ball stops with him. He also does a lot of dumb things. Sasser I love. Mills is good.

I thought Vogt was doing well offensively in the
X game first half. Didn’t seem to get touches the
Second half. I know X played some zone 2nd half
but don’t know how much.

Go back and watch, he couldn’t get touches because he was not able to post up against guys like Jason Carter.

He’s big but he’s soft.

He’s gotta get tougher to seal his man
