I agree. Looking forward to hearing about how the new guys play.

Also, thanx for posting.

Defiantly be at more games this year. Interested in see if anyone has improved their SHOOTING.

Last year I spotted Lance Stephenson and broke the news to the world, that Lance would be a bearcat. (while the greatone though it was rashad bishop, what the!?)

Good lord your on drugs. You didnt know who lance was. I spotted him and broke the news to you. Your a sad man.

Wonder who will be on the slats with the new guys. I think they are allowed 2 returning players to play with the new recruits. I'm guessing that it will be Gates and Cash. Is Kilpatrick considered a new recruit?

Kilpatrick played last year. I believe he was on the Slats team. Hopefully Cash and Killa stay on the Slats team. They need to gel together. Gates doesn't get too much into the games (imagine that) except when he's up against Frease or a fellow Bearcat. Thanks for posting nparker -- ask and I shall receive. We'll be down there every weekend again, hopefully.

Wonder how many people will drastically over react to the summer league. Every year we hear about how great someone is going to be because of what they did in this league, and it never pans out.

Yeah, Dixon really impressed me two years ago, Killa last year. Alvin Mitchell was always a stud also. Better than them not impressing I guess, but yeah it doesn't necessarily translate to Big East play.

Agreed. However its fun watching some basketball again.

Exactly- If you know what you are getting into (and dont overreact) summer league is awesome. Its fun to watch the new guys- not to see how they will do for the Cats-just to see what they are like. I dont go and watch youtube videos of everyone so its the first time I see them in game action.

*side note* I was playing pick up a couple weeks ago and had the best cross over in the history of the game. Word got around and I actually got asked to play on a couple of the teams....maybe not- but the cross over is 100% true. I finished it off the only way you can- looking at the kid on the floor for a second or two then calmly swished the three. (I cut to the basket- he tried to come back to play D—that’s when the cross over happened causing him to fall on the ground because of it) Legendary

Sickest double crossover in the history of basketball. No shit, it was freaking unreal.

Big difference playing in open gym as opposed to playing against designed defenses, huh?

Definately, I can't wait to get down there. They play no defense, but it's great to see our Bearcats in action. I actually enjoy watching the older players going at it, too, cause they give you 100% effort out there and leave it all on the court. The current players are usually playing on cruise control.
Maybe I'll meet some of my fellow posters down there this year. I'm usually down there at least one of the weekend days every week.

My offer still stands... The day you cross me over is the day I quit the game of basketball.

You're not kidding TYZ. You have a nice mid-range game, but your cross-over reminds me of Adam H...

Just heard former UC guard Steve Logan could be playing in Deveroes Summer League
