I enjoy being able to regularly check on Bearcat players who are in the regular rotation for their teams in the Association.

Anyone know what tournament ETSU is in? Guyn had 34 pts 10 reb 6 ast 4 stl last night in a win over LA Tech.

Just saw Vegas 16...which I think got 8 teams. He's was 6-10 from 3.

Speaking of NBA, does anyone else find these new draft rules a little annoying?! You have all these players "entering" the draft without an agent. Basically they are saying, I don't really think I'm good enough to get drafted in the first two rounds but let me draw some attention to my self. Lmao.

I have no problem with it. Whatever is best for the athlete, I'm usually all for.

This could open a can of worms - but any opinions on Coach Cal telling all 13 UK players to go register for the draft - with or without an agent?

The argument against is this creates a situation where people with 0.0 interest in the NBA take scouts away from those that are.

I think it's great for the athletes. Why not declare and not hire an agent? You either get told you're not good enough and go back to college, or get invited to the combine where the scouts really look at you more. I don't think it will waste any time for the scouts and the players know they have to continue to improve.

Just seems like there are already a lot of guys declaring without an agent that aren't NBA ready. It's pretty cut and dry with the NBA. You either are going to get drafted in round 1/2 or get ready for the d-league or overseas. Just muddies the scouting pool IMO.

They are fighting to be invited to the combine. Only 60 players are invited if I recall correctly. So they aren't necessarily taking away spots from anyone.

If they don't get invited to the combine, then they don't have a shot. Think about how many kids will declare, not hire an agent, and be told in a short period of time that they aren't ready yet. The majority I'd say.

The scouts won't take serious looks are players unless they get that combine invite IMO. From just watching games, tapes, looking at stats and bio info, the scouts could eliminate the most of these kids declaring w/ no agent.

That's very true!

Sk really excelled in Brooklyn and seems to have found a solid home for the future. Last week he had a career high with 26 points at the pacers. Great season sk!
Here's a great video of him with Dan hoard from a few days maybe a week back, but very cool how close him and cronin are:

Kenyon Martin is on The Vertical Podcast with Woj this week. Haven't had a chance to listen yet, but figured I'd share.
