Concerning Cronin not playing elite frosh soon enough had to do with a lack of good options in front and a demonstration of better value by certain frosh. Harvey has not accomplished that yet and he may not considering the quality options in front of him. But if he does eventually outplay even 1 of them he is going to be very very good.

I mean Caupain had Guyn, Evans had (Thomas, Cobb, or Johnson) and Cumberland had Johnson ahead of them. Clark had nobody. Nobody saw Jenifer having the year he had from 3 when they were asking for more of Logan Johnson early on. Probably not even the coach.

Harvey has Cumberland, Williams, and Cumberland ahead of him.

Unfortunately Lojo is out of the starting lineup at St Marys and only played 3 minutes last night... Since the first game of the year when he played 36 minutes, his minutes have really declined...… Hopefully he can turn it on as the season moves forward.

He's probably going to need to develop a bit of a shot to play out there. He was a really good fit for Cronin's system.

Samari Curtis also has 3 total points in 3 games for a 1-2 Nebraska team. I really don’t think we are going to miss many of these guys. You’d think we lost 4 all Americans the way some talk on here. I don’t even think we lost 2 starters out of all the ones that left.

I mean I have no idea if we’re going to miss them or not.

But Jarron cumberlands first 4 games went 3, 11, 0, 2

A guys first few games in a new system is zero indication of how long term valuable they will be.

Samari could be a star or he could be a dud. But it we won’t be able to tell by his first few games. I mean by that measure, Keith Williams entire freshman year would have made him a useless player.

Agree, they could be good. But we won’t know for years if they are. That’s why it’s not that big a deal. I doubt a new coach wants to be stuck with 4-5 players he didn’t recruit in hopes that one of them turns out good. He could do that with players he recruits. At least he would control that.

Is that his first action if the season ? Since he hasn’t been playing, I haven’t followed along

5th game but first time going over 3 minutes.

d'antoni basically said after the game gary has to do that every game or he won't play.

his full line was

12 points on 5-10 shooting
8 boards
1 assist
1 steal
1 block
0 turnovers

I guess this only applies to non-UC players?

It’s a good thing we don’t need a ton from Zach Harvey. Just not impressed with him so far.

He doesn't have a chance with that ISO offense. Harden and Westbrook take all the shots so Gary basically just stands on the wing waiting for a bounce his way off a miss. His best hope is to be traded to a team who can better utilize his talents. The 3 ball is not his strength.

Considering I made zero indications about his long terms projections, only that we didn’t need a lot from him THIS YEAR!

He clearly is not comfortable with his perimeter game this year.

If he wants to stay in the league he needs to turn the 3 into a strength. He doesn't have the size or height to bang down low for buckets. He's not quick or athletic enough to the to the rim on his own. Nobody wants a 2pt jump shooter. His only chance at sticking is to be a 3 and D guy who hustles every single play.

Guess we can add Trevor Moore to former bearcats list... As he is transferring.

Cya… wish ya luck. Hopefully he can find a decent low major school in Texas near his family and have a great last 2 years.... Like a Stephen F Austin.

Also gives us another scholarship next year..... If we end up getting Eason we will defiantly still be in the market for some grad transfer(s).

Will we end up getting Eason?

For what its worth he follows some UC guys on twitter, his mom tweets about UC... Its down to UC, Colorado and USC. To be honest I won't be surprised either way. I could see him coming here because he would almost have to play right away and JB's system is enticing but at the same time I wouldn't be surprised if he spurred us for USC being that he is a west coast kid.

Love trevor the personality, but it was time for him. Better for everyone. He can play at a lower level and we can get a scholarship.

Best of luck to Trevor with his next move. When he was on he did help us win some big games over the past 2 years.

I wish Trevor could’ve worked out, really nice kid, great locker room guy, he’s going through a rough time right now, saw his sister passed away a week ago, he’s a great kid and I’m happy he was at one point and time a bearcat
