Evans getting some decent minutes in tonight. Love to see him and Clark both getting their share

Brief update on how some of our recent transfers are doing through the end of OOC play:

Logan Johnson... After starting St. Mary's first 4 games of the season LJ has been relegated to deep bench duty for the better part of St. Mary's OOC schedule and has failed to feature in 5 of their games so far.

He played 15 minutes across 7 games for the month of December, but did hit both of his field goal attempts seeing garbage time minutes in the Gaels most recent win over Seattle.

LaQuill Hardnett... Quill has featured in all 12 of Buffalo's games so far averaging just over 14 minutes per game. He went for 9 and 11 in 19 minutes off the bench against Canisius almost two weeks ago and added 8 points in Buffalo's most recent win over Niagara.

He shot 9 for 9 from the field for the month of December over the course of 5 games and is shooting just under 73% for the year (16 for 22).

Samari Curtis to Evansville...where they dont have a head coach, the current head coach is on administrative leave while under investigation. Just a weird road he has taken, I hope the best for the Samari.

1 month later Logan is basically getting “walk on” minutes. Plays about a minute or two every couple games. Averaging 1.6 points. Hardnett is doing better but not by much. Curtis doesn’t even have a team. And Trevor at Morgan state and Ellie at Georgia state. I don’t even know if fredricks is playing basketball. Looking back, What a roster we had.

Fredericks is redshirting this year at UAB.

Hardnett is shooting 81%. Still, your point is valid.

He might be the best of the bunch. He at least plays and puts up some numbers. Not sure he’s demar Johnson like someone on here compared him to but he might be a good player down the road. He could be Tre Scott.

Is it a known fact that Brannen ask Hardnett to transfer?

I mean yea.

He signed off on the waiver too. We don’t get Zach Harvey unless he forces out laquill

Brendell has said that players transferred because they didn't want to put the effort in at practice that Brannen's system required. I'm assuming Brooks was one player he meant, and Laquill may have been another.

That’s not true about laquill

Or brooks

Laquill was pushed out to make room for Harvey. Harvey committed a few days later. And had most likely committed even prior to announcing, its just that the UC AD had to do an investigation to make sure he was a take.

Brooks wanted savino to get the job and lobbied for it. When he didn’t get it, he chose to go the education route and get a free year of grad school at Miami.

Notice he didn’t even apply for a waiver.

And I have no idea why we are judging these young players at the other schools.

It took a dominate player like Jarron to adjust to a new coaching style. Lol why wouldn’t it take Logan Johnson, or hardnett?

Brooks was out the door before the ink was dry. Not sure what to do with that one.

Did he go the grad transfer route? I'm honestly asking out of curiosity... because he's not playing this year is he?

No he is Senior at Miami. So he will graduate this year.

But next year, he will get to work on his graduate degree at Miami and get to play.

So instead of applying for a waiver, he decided to sit, graduate and then get a free year of college paid for.

Thing is: he could just transfer out of Miami if he wanted and play anywhere next season.
