finally got around to watching that Logan Johnson highlight. I think he is for sure a "diamond in the rough". As in well underrated. I wouldn't call 130 the rough, but Should easily be top 100.
can't have one without the other in most cases.I have said it over and over again. The ONLY metric I have for success is postseason success in the NCAA tourney. All the other stuff to me is noise.
Next years team will be dependent on how much the current roster moves forward. Player development will be the key to how good we become. Williams, Moore, Ellie, Brooks , Scott and Cane will all need to draw on last years experience and build on that foundation. The newcomers will have to hit the ground running but that is doable. Our depth should be better. We lost some big contributors but I'm hopeful that collectively the team can fill the gap. We will not be getting a 5* recruit to save the day.
I see your point and agree but I think I have seen enough from Williams Moore Scott and Brooks combined with Cane and JC to think we can get close to our 74 a game average. My concern is we lost two extremely good defensive players. Clark and Evans were huge on that end of the floor. Brooks will be a improvement over Washington on D.Not sure I see it that way. It may look like depth bc we have a bunch of guys who aren't top end talent and will score 4-7 ppg. We had that last year, but we didn't need it as much production wise bc our main players were so good. As it stands now our bench is Jenifer, Williams, Diarra, Nsoseme, Hardnett, L Johnson. That's not very good, unless Diarra and Williams can be consistent. But even so, Moore and Brooks would be in the starting lineup in this case. And Scoot too, who has never actually put up the production, even though we believe he can. I don't want to confuse lack of high end players for depth.

The last thing on earth I'm worried about is our defense. The very last thing.
I can't see us scoring 74 ppg. I would bet on us being under 70.
Rough guess as of today:
Cumberland 16 ppg
Broome 11 ppg
uhhhh
Scott 7 ppg
Brooks 6 ppg
Moore 6 ppg
Jenifer 5 ppg
Williams 5 ppg
Diarra 5 ppg
L Johnson 3 ppg
Nsoseme 2 ppg
Hardnett 2 ppg
Filled it out before I added it up. Under 70.

love the QB comparison. I guess time will tell. I would think the players are working overtime this off season. Lots of minutes to be had. Anyway this looks like how we are going to have to survive. Mick's strengths are his defensive talents and his ability to find the diamond in the rough. Hope he has a impact with this group. It only looks like depth because other than a couple of kids, no one has proven they can play big minutes. So when everyone is equal it looks like depth, but in reality it could just mean you don’t have any real depth. Kinda like saying we have 2 solid QBs on a team means you don’t have a starting qb
hope your right Jake. Defensively losing Evans and Clark is a big hit. Both guarded multiple positions and both were two of the very best in the league. I think 70 will be a big number for this team unless either Moore or Williams grows quite a bit.The last thing on earth I'm worried about is our defense. The very last thing.

I fear your right. He is one of my all time favorite bearcats. We cannot and will not replace Clark.

Its a tourney Team if Cane plays Well. its a tourney team if Scott, Williams and Moore take a step forward. Would like top see Ellie and Brooks form a good post duo. I think this can be a little deeper team then last year. Other then Cane our bench was very hit or miss. I honestly believe that is one reason Cane didn't start. I think we will have some options available to us that we didn't last year. We can play a bigger line up or go small. can't wait to see how it all unfolds. Im sure with losing 3 starters the remaining guys are working very hard to gain some minutes. So - based on the recruits now...assuming Evans is gone and we either don’t use the last scholly or we don’t get immediate help from it, how do you think this team will do next season? It’s definitely a tourney team if Cane plays a bunch, Cumberland maintains or improves, Scott continues to get better and Fredericks supplies what it looks like he will.
Thoughts on the season?

Shouldn't this be in the frustrations thread?0-30
