i just want some guys that make an open 3 the majority of the time. a couple guys that if you see them take an open shot, you think its going in. Evans is that sometimes but thats about the only one we have had since SK

Kilpatrick was not a great 3 shooter. Career 34.7% and never shot over 38% in any year. He's Cumberland who is 34.5% career

I feel like if he was open, it was going in. i could be wrong. the point still stands. I just want someone to make them when they are open most of the time. There has to be guys out there that can do this, that we could get

We agree we need knock down shooters.:)

Player that can create something from nothing and players that can make a shot. With the offense we run, these players should be top of the list.

Evans went backwards on that this year. He used to never miss open 3s. This year he missed a ton.

I think the NBA talk got in his head.
I think he was Micks next SK. I think the pressure got to him. For the life of me I still can't understand why he didn't take the ball to the rim in the last 11 minutes of that game but settled for jumpers. He was killing them in the first half. 12 of our last 15 shots were jumpers.

Jake has all the tools... but lacks the mental fortitude to be "that guy" .

He will never be the guy in the NBA, so he may fit nicely with a team.

Regardless, he needs another year imo. But that's not how the NBA operates.

he did drive a couple times and missed. It looked like he got fouled a couple times also but thats a whole other thing. They started doubling him

Moore and Williams showed very little this year. Evans needs to return and have a strong SR year as I don’t think he gets drafted this year. Needs too much work out his outside shot.

Not that I don;t agree with you or whether hew should or shouldnt...but Evans is as good as gone.

Was talking to my dad about the program. We both agreed that if we don't make the 2nd weekend and win another conference title in Cumberland's career, then it will be time to move in another direction.

The loss on Sunday was catastrophic. It will never go away and making a legitimate run is the only thing that can help make it even a little better.

I think winning our home games against OSU, UCLA and Xavier can help ease pain. Especially OSU and XU

Yeah, I was not impressed. It's a shame too, because we have always had at least one good freshman. Clark, Evans then Cumberland.

I have high hopes for Logan Johnson.

Evans would be foolish to leave if he doesn’t get guaranteed money when he could come back and potentially be a top 10 pick with a strong SR year. If the feedback from the NBA is favorable he should leave. His ability to guard and handle are superior but imo his shot needs to be more consistent and he did regress during the last half of the season to the point where I was thinking he was injured. The air balls during the conference tournament were alarming to the point where I was also wondering if his vision was changing. When I saw what he did at the end of the first half against Nevada in getting to the rim I figured he can’t be injured but he really was disappearing at times down the stretch of the Reg season and in AAC tourney. I was told he was as good as gone but I just don’t think so.

Won't do a thing for me. Those games do nothing to prove that we won't choke when it really counts. Especially if X has a new coach.

Then you have decided that post season is the only thing that matters for you. I understand, I think majority do. I look forward to 31 games every years, the conference tourney and the NCAA tourney.

And idc if X has 3 players out there on the court I will always enjoy the chance to play and hopefully and beat them.

And the loss was devastating for the team, coach, and fans. We had a golden opportunity in a wide open bracket to really make it a magical season. Our best team in years will never forget that game and what could have been. I still can’t stop thinking about it and don’t even want to watch another game. I’m going to try to force myself to watch WVU and Huggy Bear’s 3rd sweet sixteen appearance in four years.

Postseason isn't all that matters to me. But those aren't conference games either.

I just can't buy back in until I know we won't choke on the big stage. Can't know that until we are on the big stage again.
