Are people really dismissing Cobb? He was our most important player last year. I had to bet on our leading scorer it would be him...

100% agree. I like him more than Caupain. I like Caupain, but I like Cobb more. I think he will have a big year. I'm hoping he will be the "money" shooter that we have lacked in this program for a long time. He was inconsistent last year, but had phenomenal moments. I'm hoping there are many more phenomenal moments this year.

If Caupain play's more off ball. He without a doubt will be our leading scorer. Tc has best set shot on team. They both should be in double figures this year anyway

No...I still think the starting lineup is going to look just like opening day for quite a while and likely most, if not all, of the season. And remember KJ played around 20 MPG last year. Outside of secondary PG duties for JJ...I believe KJ's minutes would be the first to be scavenged...not FC's. I think TC and FC will get about 30 and 25 minutes respectively.

We have 80 minutes to go around at the 1 and 2. That still leaves 25 minutes for whoever helps the team the most. In big/close games I think around 70-75 of those minutes should go to your best 3 players.

If I talked about water boy it a be topic of hours. I talked about whoever I want when I want. When troy was freshman I talked him up over guyn, now the shoe on other foot. It's always best man Wins for me

Look at every single bearcat recruiting board on the Internet every single one is talking about jenifer you did not start any thing

Lol you to young understand

No man, I get it. But if you're going to say that Mick recruited those players then you can't also give him credit for the players that commit to UC now. Those guys came here to play for Huggins, not Mick. Troll on Bulldog.

I actually would agree with this. It may not happen but I personally believe it would be his best position. However if he shoots as many 3s as he did in the exhibition all season....he will be the leading scorer regardless of position. He only averaged about 2 per game last year. If he gets off 3 more 3 pointers per game it would push his scoring average to 13 or 14 all else being equal.

That being said I think Cobb's 3pt shooting % will go up nicely because he's going to get better looks. Last year he shot quite a few on the run...off balance...even doing both of those at the same time while pulling up on a fast break a number of times. This year he won't be leading the break...he can be getting set.

I like that Troy was looking to shoot in the exhibition. For him it is all about shot attempts.

He passed up a lot last year. And we probably ended up with the clock running down because of many of the opportunities not taken. Last second shots were not our strong suit. I'm pretty sure Mick wants him to shoot any reasonable shot he can get off.

I finally got around to reading some post game comments by coach and players. A couple of tid bits from coach (paraphrasing)...

Clark and Deberry are struggling the most in the new fast pace offense. They are not the fastest guys on the court but will catch on.

On Jenifer. He's a great change of pace off the bench for us. He's the most comfortable on team pushing the pace. He gives troy a rest but they will play together some.

Caupain on Jenifer. ..he does some things better than I can. Attacking the lane, vision, passing, and drawing the D to kick it to another teammate.

When you talk up your backup like that it says a lot about you. Confident comes to mind...he's a leader who knows he's going to be on the court no matter who is running point. This is his team for the next two years regardless of position. He's a good leader.

Mick was LITERALLY hands on with satterfield and Garcia. Was instrumental in getting other two. I doubt he was lead recruiter on jenifer.

Shoot if open. Miss it we got great chance at rebound anyway

I called Caupain passing torch to jenifer. Great scorers want to be off the ball. When the best passer comes to gym nobody tries playing PG over him. Everybody knows it easier for them to score with jenifer. No knock on troy or anybody else on team. It's tons if things jenifer would say troy better than him at and teach him new things everyday.

Mick was the lead on Jenifer with Antwon assisting. Had a tie to the family from coaching Keith Jenifer at Murray St. Mick was also the lead on Evans with LD assisting...

Also Caupain on having Jenifer and Evans as additional guards...again paraphrasing. ..

Everyone is going to need a break. When they come in the D has to figure out how to adjust to a new style.

It's so true. We have such a diverse, deep, talented group.

Well there was nothing in there about passing a torch or playing off ball but I understand what you are getting at

Remember Troy is so young that he and Jenifer were AAU rivals when they were younger. They have known each other since they were around 8 years old...

I was just thinking this. Troy probably feels more comfortable on court with jenifer than anybody on team
