How much were we down against Marshall that time we came back?
15 was the maximum deficit in that game. We were down 19-4 after 5 minutes. We trailed by double digits for most of the first half, ended the half down 50-38. Marshall had a 3 point lead and the ball with about 40 seconds left before Evan's steal and 3 to send it to OT.

Evans hits big shots all the time. He really should be nicknamed Mr Freeze.

To validate the professor tag, here's Kyle Washington after the game, " It's kind of difficult, an arduous task sometimes. But this team is probably the closest team I've been on in terms of cohesiveness and getting through adversity. It makes it easier when we are in a spot like that, it was a great test for us." Love this guy

Haha well he's not wrong. He must read a lot or something bc he has quite the vocabulary.

I remember fantasizing about 4 minutes left in first half that we could make a few 3's and cut the lead to 5 or so. Haha. Then I was like...that's a pipe dream...I will take single digits.

We were still down around 17 points with 4 minutes. We were still down around 14 with 2 minutes. Then all hell broke loose! The crowd was nuts!! I couldn't believe that run we made.

I remember mdchick saying let's cut it to 7, and I was thinking that was a lot to ask. Maybe 10 would be more realistic? NOPE. How about 3? Incredible.

Yes, I still watch the highlights on Youtube.. Sometimes I find the full game but mostly will just watch the second half. I just couldn't remember how much we actually were down at one point. Thanks for the info.

We were winning 8-7 after the first 4 minutes. Then Houston went on a 26-7 run over the next 9 minutes. At that point, we still had a 34% chance to win according to Kenpom.

We scored the final 11 points of the half, to increase our odds of winning to 77%.

when we first got down 18 i was thinking we need to find a way to stop the bleeding and attempt to get it to 10 points by half.

the last 4 minutes of the first half were insane.

The #Bearcats extended the nation's longest home court winning streak to 38 games but it wasn't easy as Cincinnati rallied from an 18-point deficit to beat Houston. Here are the radio calls: https://t.co/l71ArA7W5s

I was ecstatic when I thought they were going to go into the locker room down 6 after a stop. After the steal/3-pointer by Evans, there was really no question about how the game was going to tend up.

I love those two guys! I really do. Hoard is excellent and Nelson provides so much color and insight into the game. Nelson is just a witty guy and Hoard is a fantastic play by play guy.

How about our starting bigs right now? Knocking down 42% from 3 with around 3 attempts per game combined. Evans is at 4.5 attempts and hitting at the same rate. Those 3's were HUGE...and that % is awesome from bigs!! The small sample size gets bigger every day...they can shoot.

Also they are knocking down about 73.5% FT's. I will take these numbers all day long from the starting bigs.

Cumberland continues to make things happen regardless of his efficiency. Jenifer had a nice game. Brooks played well. This team is tough and there is no give in!!

I hate to say this but Broome still worries me a bit in crucial situations. Not from a scoring standpoint but from a lazy pass standpoint. I cringe sometimes watching his cross court stuff and he still gets picked from his on ball defender at times.

I think he needs to just stay on the move and run and dribble around. He's a creator. He struggles a little bit in standard half court sets, press situations, and running out the clock. Jenifer obviously doesn't provide the offensive dynamics...but he's VERY solid with the ball in his hands when he's getting hounded. Yes Jenifer has made some dumb mistakes too...but not as many IMO.

I hope we can figure out a way to keep Cane in situations he can excel. He's not great with the stall dribble at the top of the key. He's more of a Rob Gray type...most effective on the move. That last bucket by Cane was insane. I thought Jenifer played a more solid game overall.

I think it's time to let Jenifer move around a little bit as well. His feed from the baseline to Evans on the jam (with the clock running out) was HUGE!

I thought it was his worst game of the season last night. Poor on both ends. But bad nights happen to everybody, lets hope it was a 1 game thing and move on.

Was surprised to see he still got the most minutes at the PG spot.

Nice having Jenifer in games like last night. He was steady. He's just gotta be himself and play his game.

Broome has had a tougher adjustment than I think any of us guessed. What's his best game in conference play? Hopefully he has a huge breakout game Saturday playing close to home. We need him making plays.

he hasn't been doing any scoring since the ankle injury. his shot has been bad and he doesn't seem to have the same burst to the rim.

but outside of last night he's been an assist machine in conference.

i dont know if the ankle is still bothering him a bit or missing a weeks practice just got him all out of rhythm but he's only shooting 29.4% from 2 in conference play. his steals are down, his FT% is down, rebounding is down.

we know the ability is there for him because of the X and florida games, but something is off right now.

The crazy thing is we all were looking at Jenifer to be the dynamic dribbler and passer before Cane got here. Then Cronin got him going on being Troy 2.0...not turning it over safety net. Justin still has some game in him. Let him run around a bit like Cane does...I think it will end up a good thing for us.
