Learning and executing a complicated offense may be tough. Taking open shots, setting picks, and being aggressive when you have the ball are not complicated.

I'm glad Coach Cronin is taking the tone of "constant improvement" instead of getting defensive about the offense. Everyone can see that we have some damn good players. Continuing to adjust to one another to find the right flow takes time. Fingers crossed we get there. Bc this team could be a real threat.

They averaged 89 before this game. Two games well over 100. They have that potential which could come in handy if they get hot in March. Obviously they are streaky.

Oh yeah the 113 they put up against savannah state. Either way, it's their offense was overrated or our defense was elite last night. I'm just happy with the win.

In theory yes but the execution is a different matter. What I'm most hopeful of is I think will get better as we go.

By the way jake and WH I'm telling my wife it was your fault I didn't get the plant beds raked out today.

Lol! There is a time to rake leaves and get yard work done. April is not that far away. She will understand.

I'm not sure we have put up 113 in the Cronin era let alone 130. We have played a boat load of awful teams. I'm just saying they have fire power...no matter how streaky it may be.

My son just called and asked what I was doing. I told him I was talking UC basketball with some friends. He said, I better hope the wife doesn't ever find out my password. I told him I was going to tell her where to find it right after I teach her how to check my internet history. Oh the youth are so gullible. Lol!!

Lol! She knows Waite...she knows. She may not have the heart to tell you...but you just can't keep up with the Kardashians.

I just can't stress how much better this offense looks after Kyle or Gary touches the ball on or near the block. One on one it's going to be a good match up most of the time. When they get doubled even better...it opens up all other options. Kick out 3, dump off 2 to the other big, pass to a Slasher.

This team is not a 4 out 1 in team. We don't have great driving guards on the whole. We have quality bigs who can pass. Yes they can make a 3 but obviously Gary's percentage Last year was a fluke and Kyle is not going to shoot 40 percent with volume.

Having 2 guys who can post up doesn't mean we can't be 4 out 1 in. I agree that they both should post up. I agree that we need to work the ball inside. But we can still play 4 out 1 in. It's better for the overall spacing and flow.

I understand but the low block passing probably won us the game. It wasn't our penetration...or perimeter shooting. KJ made a couple of nice plays from penetration but that would be an anomaly of his career. Troy has been a volume penetration guy...hes not Morris. Evans could be...but we need to screen for him all day. Gary doesn't try to take his man off the dribble anymore.

iMO...the most reliable option is when we have two bigs on the block.

It really depends who we're playing. Last night was our worst offensive game. So if you're using it as the reason to go back to the offense of old that produced these kind of games much more regularly, them you won't convince me. But again, it really just depends on the opponent. Most teams we play will have more size than Iowa State.

I was not just thinking of last game but I agree it depends a little bit on the opponent. However, I would take my chances with Washington and Clark down low against 90 percent of them.
