I realize Caupain didn't shoot well tonight but he did have 10 rebounds. He wasn't as bad as everybody on here is saying. Great win for this team!
Good comment. Troy shot really poorly, but his rebounding presence was really important. He had some good steals also.

Great win. As ugly a win as I can remember, but I'll take it! Holding Iowa State in the 50's - in overtime - on their floor!?!?! I could have lost my house betting against that!

Clark was really big tonight.

Go Cats!

37 OOC wins in the Hilton in a row guys and girls! That is a HUGE friggin accomplishment today!!!!!

He didn't play well at all. However I agree that it looks worse that it probably was when he's the one shooting the late clock shots. UC has to feed the post better.

Their only option for feeding the post was Washington. Clark had no interest in getting the ball on the low block. Once he did all he looked to do was pass. Not once did he try to score from the low post. Granted, other than that he made huge plays but this team needs him to look to score.

UC was the better team. IMO the stall ball hurt them. UC isn't effective in a half court offense and it limited their better players. I've never seen so many heaves at the end of the shot clock. That had to be a record.

This is by far UC's most talented team. It's up to Mick to develop some resemblance of offense.

Yeah almost half of their per game average, our D was lights out. If some shots would have fell for us this could have been ugly.

I like Troy, but he was terrible. Don't really care if he grabbed some rebounds, I'd prefer the bigs to get the rebounds so they can outlet to the guards. His passing was bad, he was lazy on offense, couldn't shoot, and made some key turnovers in OT.

Kyle was on the bench in the final minutes. Troy was absolutely off his game. Evans was not on. We win?

Would love to see us take at least one more between Xavier and butler. We do that we very well might only lose 3-4 games this year, 5 max.

You could also see why JJ doesn't get too many minutes. Not that he was bad, but he isn't a threat to shoot and every time he drove the defenders just let him because they knew they could easily block his shot.

Loved the minutes that Scott and Brooks gave. Scott seems like the real deal. By end of the year he could be a major factor.

They were doubling the post every time (even if the primary defender was in good position). Even if Clark didn't shoot the other big was open all night.

Also in the ISU blog they said Garrad was a character for not being scared of ISU..comedy

Ugly win but I'll take it especially in that environment. I feel bad for Caupain because I know he's better than that. He will get it together.

Why was KW on the bench towards the end of the game defensive purposes?

So, soo happy!
Loved that we did what Mick wanted - Defensive rebound.

Saw Kevin get a D rebound and immed pass up the court. Loved that! Put pressure the D. We need to do more of that! Still catching up on the thread. If it has not already been answered - why was Kyle out down the stretch? He was limping late in the game.
We came back twice - at the end of regulation and end of OT!! Got the buig steal at the end of reg!!! I really, really liked that we played smart for once - Jacob tried to get fouled, did, made both free throws. The look on his face: he looked really stressed/tight. Not sure if family or friends are in his ear about the NBA, and he is feeling pressure. These kids have a lot of stress.
