"Inconsistency from all of our players has been a problem and I'm responsible for that. I'm their coach, so at the end of the day I take blame for everything - trust me. Nobody beats themselves up more than I do about replaying situations and trying to get guys to be more consistent. That's my job."-MC

I still support him and will give him the full year of support. I know many of you blast him for making excuses but he said the inconsistency is on him. Does that help any of you guys?

Save the smart remarks please. I find it refreshing.

Mick can throw around blame, but he can't take away responsibility....it's all on him.
It's good to see him step up, and at least own the problem.

Funny thing is no one will remember it. They will say he never takes responsibility but that is not true. He has. I am glad. Time to correct the issues now-Greatone

I think they have a right to say that. Yeah, he took some responsibility here, but how many times after a game does he do that? This time does not out-weigh all the other excuses. It's a step toward the right path though.

Agreed. I believe his "excuses" are valid sometimes but they get tiresome no doubt.

I like that he finally took some blame and its what I wanted to hear...for a long long time.

Now his players can start taking some since the excuses can't take them off the hook any longer. All for 1 and 1 for all. Not intended to support X!

Butch Jones comes here to find out how many of his recruits get offered by other schools.

I was joking. Sorry, I should have used the color codes for sarcasm. :)

(see the end of spinners thread for details on that)

I have no doubt he reads some of the blogs and message boards. How could he not.

A member of the athletic department private messaged me last year to tell me he really enjoyed reading my internet posts. (this is true, I am not making this up).

I'm new here and not sure where to post this, but Im a graduate of the University and a current UCATS Member, and I am tired of hearing all the criticism about Mick Cronin. He is doing a great job with what he has. I think we should give him at least 2 more years before we can judge him. That way he will have one full recruiting class come through and the others will be sophmores and juniors.

HAHA! I find that humorous.

I am tired of the whole he started with nothing thing! That's fine for his first year, but all those guys are gone now except Vaughn. I also base my decision on what I see on the court or lack there of.

K-State sure didn't miss a beat when Bob left and took some recruits with him...

Good post. I dont know if I agree with the 2 more years before we can judge. I think he gets next year regardless.
