The guy is clearly an asshole. Don't know what the fuss is about, b/c he got banned. Seriously, on "the other site" just being disrespectful will get you tossed. Call me crazy, but it seems a lot more lax around here.
This is just my opinion too, but AT THE VERY LEAST, if you're going to take a shot or two, perhaps add in something relevant to UC or have a reason for getting worked up.
Ex "Greatone, you're a gigantic douche for thinking that Justin Jackson can run point. Quit being a moron, dumbass. " Definitely an attack, but at least it would be UC related. Someone just saying "You're a joke" or whatever is freaking a waste of space. Good riddance.

Agreed. I don't think any of us will lose sleep that Bearcat_NTS was banned. I personally think we have wasted too much time even debating it.

Yeah this issue is over. I have had a few PM's saying they wanted him gone for awhile so I feel the site is now better. I am moving on.

I know we all moved on, but I was off of the computer last night, so let me just add my insight if I may. LivingLegend can call GreatOne a tool, because they have a rapport. LivingLegend can call DontMissHim a tool (as long as he's ok with it), because they have a rapport. I can call GreatOne a tool, because we have a rapport. I wouldn't dare call you some kind of name though, because you would have no way to know whether I was joking. When NTS went off, the mods all talked with each other. I made very sure to ask whether GreatOne or Jeff knew this guy, and neither did, nor had they established any kind of playful banter on the site with him.
In the end it's all about context. It's the difference between going up to your buddy in a bar and saying "What's up douchebag?" versus going up to a stranger and doing the same. One's fine (depending on the friend), the other's not.
If you don't know whether you can throw a jab or barb at a certain member, chances are you shouldn't. All that being said, I think we've discussed this ad nauseam. I (and any of the other mods, I'm sure) are more than happy to continue talking through PMs if there is some lingering doubt or uneasiness about this whole thing, but this should conclude public discussion. We make a point to be very open and honest about our actions (which are few, btw), but I think nearly everyone would agree we have wasted enough people's time who just want to click the "New Posts" button and read relevant Bearcat discussion.

Speaking of showing up these days...What is up with Oscar Robertson? I think it is an understatement to say he is not a Mick supporter. Is he not showing up to games now that Mick's squad is doing well?
The Barely Adequate One banned him.

Actually Oscar lives down the street from Mick and frequently will stop by his house (Mick talked about this in a story recently done by Koch, I think). I don't think Oscar has any issues with Mick. People tend to forget that he didn't show up to every game Huggins coached either. I could care less.

I don't think Oscar has anything against Mick at all. Hopefully everything is alright with him. He is getting up there in age so hopefully his health is okay. I know some don't like him but he has done a lot of good in his life and has gone through things I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy.

Good point LH. It is hard to imagine what Oscar went through growing up. I can't say I wouldn't be a little bitter too.

Doesn't Oscar still run a business? It has been awhile since I talked to him[business-not socially]; but maybe that gets in the way. I do know he doesn't go to every game in the past and IMHO, deserves the benefit of the doubt for whatever the reason for him not being there.

Who's the kid that sits in his seat when he's not there? I swear I've seen the same kid in that seat multiple times. Black, teenager I think. A Grandson maybe?
