Exactly, his tentative attitude I believe comes from him not believing that he is as good as he actually is. After sk misses a shot the next possession he is looking to take another one.I can't say that for anyone else on the team. It's like they think just because they missed a shot they arent aloud to shoot on the next possessio. I see that a lot with rubles. If anyone is open 10 feet and in its a good shot and it should be taken, but often times it is passed up and we end up having to take a desperation shot and the end of the shot clock.

Yeah, Lawrence and Rubles love that head fake so much, sometimes they just gotta shoot instead of trying to be fancy and blow by the guy. Lawrence has time to correct this. I don't like having Rubles play out so far. Let him get inside and do his thing.

Yeah, Shaq has to be more aggressive on offense. He doesn't even get to touch the ball on too many possessions... that's maybe not entirely his fault, but some of it does fall on him. He's a pretty efficient player on offense... he doesn't turn the ball over too much and he rarely takes bad shots. He can even knock down the 3, but doesn't fall in love with it. I don't know what his usage statistics are, but they are probably lower than anyone else in the starting line-up.

I like ST, but in the last few games, every time he dribbles through the paint, especially right to left, he gets stripped. Needs to work on his handles. That plus put more arc on his shots. I think part of the arc problem is he has a good vertical leap and his line of sight is level with the rim so he doesn't realize how flat he's shooting. That's the coaches' job to show him tape of his shot and his dribble. He seems to be in too much of a hurry when he tries to score off the dribble. Toughest thing to do is slow your tempo in a sport after you've been quick your whole career, but when you do, marked improvement is the result.

Agreed. Although I do think he could be more of an impact player than Big Dave.
Yeah, it's all relative, though. As you guys know, I'm high on Strickland, by even if he doesn't pan out or even if he wouldn't have been a good player this year, he would almost no doubt be better than Dave.

I think there is a lot of doubt. Very few big man come in right away and make a different. I highly doubt that Strickland would have been one of the few.

Rubles led the team in rebounding last year.

At the very least it gives Mick a little more versatility with the lineup and when Jackson and Rubles get in foul trouble. Would also have been nice to get his feet wet this year since we will have nobody back that plays in the post sans Lawrence.

Rubles was a JUCO, not a freshman.

As he is not allowed to practice and on scholarship, I believe that means the year will count against him, he will only have 3 playing years available.

You have five years to play four years, so this year will count against the five years, but not the four playing years. This means an injury year in the future would likely be a lost year (although he could apply for a sixth year) and a transfer would mean the year he sits out would be a lost year.
