Will Morman qualify is the next question. Just because he is on campus doesn't mean he has been cleared. Word from the NCAA clearinghouse will come towards the end of the summer......

“Kelvin’s a very bright student and is graduating,” said Morgan, who has not spoken directly to Gaines recently. “A lot of the kids he is playing with are pros. He’s looking for more playing time.”

not only has morgan not spoke to gains, he clearly knows nothing about uc. a lot of pros?

Prolly meant the BE in general, but he was vague with that comment.

This is interesting. Why give up on a kid with two years of eligibility left that's a physical freak?

Player A: .5 ppg, 1.5 reb, 15 blocks
Player B: 2.6 ppg, 2.5 reb, 29 blocks

Which would u rather have? Consider this-player A has had 3 years to improve, played basketball all his life, and only scored 10 ppg in HS. Player B only had this year, didn't even pick up a basketball until a few years ago, and has shown some raw ability, just needs to bulk up a little.

Player A: Gaines
Player B: Nyarsuk

Here is why it was Gaines. He would take up a scholarship for two more years. If it was reversed and Dave had two more years and Gaines one, Dave would be going.

Gaines was in over his head here. Yes, he is a physical monster, but he looked like a lost boy out there on the floor. I appreciate his effort but glad to see him move on to a school where he will fit in better.

You are 100% correct my friend it's all about opening up a scholarship next year for a better recruit.
