Waite no one is saying you wouldn't be missed. But Jacob is trying to send a message to people without banning them. This isnt a pay site people are obligated to post here but it's nice when they do.
why Jacob you don't think I'd be missed???? Actually I think many posters would miss what I add to the conversation. Heck I was thinking about becoming a Mod. I just might do that.
I understand that. I also understand people are entitled to their opinion. I post here because it usually is about fans of the program sharing their passion for the team. It usually is also a good place to pick up information about the team and discuss it with others. Lately that has been far from what has been happening. Like most I want this to be a enjoyable experience. Their are some who obviously don't feel that way. My concern is the good posters will eventually leave if something isn't done then we all lose. Reading through this thread I think I speak for quite a few of the regular posters on here.Waite no one is saying you wouldn't be missed. i don't dislike Bulldog. Never met him. What I object to is what he does to the conversation. Jacob you read the thread. Now you want to insinuate I'm derailing the thread. The thread has been derailed and many others. Re- read it.It has nothing to do with what you add to the conversation. No one is going to be strong armed into choosing sides just bc you don't like Bulldog. You can either get along with him or not, just like he can get along with you or not. Please stop derailing this thread.

Had a really cool little back and forth with Biggie McClain about state of the program and his reaction to comments towards Ellis from UK fans on twitter. If anyone is interested in a quick read of his comments I will PM you a screenshot or two.

I'd like to see that... is it so bad that it can't be posted publicly?
I read some of those comments and feel exactly as David does. My issue is unless a solution is found the board will go down hill and we all lose. I have taken the tact of not responding to Bulldog. It is difficult and frustrating especially when your trying to have a conversation with another poster. What makes the board enjoyable is the content of the conversation. i feel lately that is suffering. Would hate to see this site head in the same direction others have but it seems to be trending that way I'm very sorry to say.As David pointed out though, quite a few of the regular posters were guilty of just as bad of behavior as Bulldog. Your definition of "good poster" may not be the same as someone else. I agree things haven't been great lately, that's why I was forced to use the last resort for the very first time.
ya id love to see that is biggie still with the globetrotters?

Jacob your comment may be a bit revealing. So it's number of post and not content? Why do you think I don't feel like we have great people here? I've posted here for years. I have met people before games off this board. It may be you who needs to appreciate the people who post here. You do the same and have a good evening. I'll talk to you later as well. The site is trending that way based on what? The nearly 1,000 posts per game thread the past few games? Things are bound to get a little heated when the team we all love is getting knocked out of a tournament to end their season. We have really great people here who offer a lot to the program. I'm sorry you don't see it that way. Enjoy the rest of your night. I'll be back to post tomorrow, just like the countless others who enjoy the conversation.
This is the 1st post I've made since the game. I 100% support Jacob in what he is trying to do here. He is trying to change this site into a place where all Bearcat fans have a voice, not just the ones who worship Mick Cronin. Contrary to what many on here believe, the kind of post made in this thread by Amberlycolonel, which eventually got UCAlum banned for his personal attack, is a very common and popular opinion of Mick Cronin outside of this website. For years, if you voiced an opinion against Mick Cronin on this site, you were personally attacked and eventually banned. I know, I've been banned many times for just stating an opinion, never for personal attacks against fellow posters. I support the program, the team, and the coach unconditionally. But, I don't have to believe that he is our best option to lead this program. There are many fans who dress in red and black, attend every single game, cheer their butts off, and despise this coach. That is just the facts. Jacob is changing this site to what it should be, a place where all Bearcat fans can speak and banning those that should be banned....the ones who toss out personal attacks, questionable language, and other insults at fellow Bearcat fans who might not have the same opinion as theirs. A good poster is not one who loves Mick Cronin. A good poster is one who loves the Cincinnati Bearcats. It's about time that those who will personally attack other posters are getting tossed out of here. It's gone on far too long, and it is why this site was going downhill. Bravo to Jacob for taking a stand.
As to Bulldog, I don't understand half of what he is saying. He is all over the place. He posts so much that it is hard to follow his train of thought. I don't enjoy his posts that much, but he certainly has a right to be heard, until he starts attacking other posters which I guess is why he got banned yesterday.
As for the game, we tried hard, but we just don't have the level of talent to realistically have a shot. Next year will be better (I hope). The expectations will be high, and I hope what is still a pretty weak offensive team, will have a big transformation in the next 6 months. Whether or not that will happen is certainly something for many to debate. I am ready for some significant success for a change.
