They just lost to a bad DII team 74-70. This is after this summer where they got blown out by Carelton.....twice. I knew Pastner was bad, but this is getting embarrassing.

Its crazy isn't it?!! Makes you wonder if any unethical practices are being done there..

Wonder? I'd say it's pretty clear. He's a Coach Cal protege, and Wes is still lurking in the shadows in Memphis, just not as much as in Lexington.

I must be out of the loop or something, but I keep hearing the name Wes pop up in relation to Calipari and Kentucky? Who or what is that?

Hilarious. And to think they were picked to finish ahead of us even though they probably lost more than we did.

Just a reminder, quite a few top tier teams who have lost to division II schools in the preseason have gone on to have deep tournament runs or even win the whole darn thing. My guess is this means nothing.

But it seems to matter in this town when we don't blow out our preseason opponents.

I hear ya. I just think losing 3 times to D2 schools (even in exhibition) means more than the preseason votes for the conference standings. I can't wait to beat them twice again.

Exactly. Preseason games means absolutely nothing. Not saying Memphis is great, and I do think Pastner is a very average coach, but nothing should be based on this game.
