Help Support BearcatTalk:

just checked the line for the game and espn had zach tobler as the player to watch for the bearcats. Im hoping they are predicting a 30 pt blowout by halftime and tobler puts up 15 and 10 in the 2nd halp with 5 steals and 3 blocks. ;)

Link? I need something to make me smile about this basketball team

Coach said he'd be switching up the starting lineups the rest of the year! He wouldn't lie to us!!!

Maybe Evans will start, he'll probably come out and hit 2 shots in the first 3 minutes and then miss a switch on defense and Mick will yank him in favor of Shaq.

Coachpipe, with those outstanding seats that you have, you get a better look at this team than anyone. You already have a lot to smile about. I think you'll be smiling tonight anyway. We'll beat Memphis and everything will calm down and we'll start our run to March Madness. Caupain is overdue to have a good game and I think Ellis will be big tonight also because of being from Memphis. This will be a double digit victory. Then we'll bring on the cupcakes and get a nice little run going. I hope!

One can only hope. My excitement for this season has dwindled so much I thought today was an away game

i think you logged into the wrong account before you made this post

:)

i do, also, think there is still a good run to be had here.

Yep. I just say Cobb bc he is the most capable.
if his jumper is falling I would agree but teams are not giving him open looks anymore and he has only shot 14 FT's on the year. That is miniscule for the minutes he plays. I would rather see 20 out of Ellis or Clark. If forced to double the inside game Cobb should get some looks.

All I can think of is that you haven't been watching any of the games this season.

Well, you would be so wrong then. This team has frustrated me to the point where I have more faith in the Reds winning the superbowl

Slow pace/Fast pace isnt going to make shots fall. It isnt going to penetrate the lane. Slow Pace/Fast pace isnt going to change shaqs handles. It isnt going to make him hit that elbow shot. Or not step out of bounds. It isnt going to help his spin move missed layups. The pace of the game isnt going to toughen ellis up. Or help us box out and not give up an offensive rebound on free throws of all places. Its not going to decide if a guy is open for a corner 3. The pace of the game isnt going to all of a sudden make this team run an offense that doesnt involve a dribble around the 3 point line hoping to get en entry pass to the elbow and then force up a contested or bad 3. The pace of the game isnt going to all of a sudden show this team how to hold a lead.

Fundamentals and Basketball IQ are 2 things this team has shown they lack. Until that gets fixed the pace of the game wont decide anything

Guy who can recruit but not coach - 67

Guy who is average at both - 64

Talent wins this one for Memphis State.

I'm going to be disappointed if Shaq Thomas is starting tonight.
Jake in Saturday's loss Shaq played 25 of 50 minutes and Evans played 38. Other then starting him I think the trend is being established that Evans is getting the most minutes at the 3. Would Ike to see a bit more consistency from him on both ends of the floor.

Bottom line we need a win. Regardless who starts or what pace we run at. Like to see the team come out and have some fun and get after it on both ends of the floor. TC really needs to bust out.
