Things of Note regarding Memphis:
* Memphis is 5th in average length of possession only using 14 seconds of the shotclock
* 9th in Adjusted Temple
* Ranked 324 in effective FG%
* One of the worst 3pt shooting teams in the country

Just from looking all this up; you'd think that memphis would try to switch up its style a bit. The numbers show they play extremely fast and yet shoot extremely bad in nearly all aspects. Why the hell they would be so impatient to jack up a bad shot is beyond me.

If our 3 ball falls tomorrow night, we could win big. But I will be extremely disappointed if memphis makes more than 6 3's on us when they are one of the worst 3pt shooting teams in the country. 2nd worst 3pt shooting defense vs the 3rd worst 3pt shooting team in conference. Something has to give..

Have to keep them off the freethrow line since they really are not a good perimeter shooting team. Goodwin and D. Lawson are the two guys you have to contain. They had a game earlier this season against South Carolina where they committed 41 fouls and had their 5 best players all foul out. Since they do a good job of getting to the line, their games that I have seen this season have been very disjointed.

Solid information instead of just reading that Troy sucks and Cronin should be fired. I don't see us losing tomorrow.
some people post that after every loss. Coach will be back next year and TC will get turned around. The season to date has been a downer but there is still time toget it on track.

the way we pick up fouls is not a good sign.

plus, you don't exactly have to set the world on fire to win this conference's tournament. plenty of time to make a run. i'll be more considered with our quality of play and how we start looking than our resume, knowing that if this team gets it together, a conference tournament title is very realistic.

smu's post-season ban includes the conference tournament, doesn't it?

don't know the answer to that. NTS will know. He knows all.

I agree. It's not over. These next two weeks might be the most important. Chances to win over Memphis and uconn

Plenty of teams have been suspect through January and even part of February and figured things out late. All depends on the team. Hope the light comes on for this one at some point. Regardless, I'm behind them.

just checked the line for the game and espn had zach tobler as the player to watch for the bearcats. Im hoping they are predicting a 30 pt blowout by halftime and tobler puts up 15 and 10 in the 2nd halp with 5 steals and 3 blocks. ;)

rashad bishop wasn't on that sweet 16 team. maybe that diminutive dictator is more powerful than you're giving him credit for if he can suspend someone who isn't in the program.

Got my years confused, it's easy to blend them all together when they're all so uneventful. Bishop was the year before when we were struggling late in the season and he rallied the team for a nice run in the Big East tourney.

Maybe Ellis can be this year's Bishop??

I think more then anything the team needs to relax and play. Not getting a lot of breaks right now and I think it has the team playing tight. Its almost as if ever time they step on the floor they expect something bad to happen. Blowing a lead 7 point lead at SMU, The Temple guard hitting a shot from the street with time running down, Ellis failing to come up with the court length pass against Butler. Temple hitting just about every shot in 5th 3rd the first meeting. I'm sure there are more examples. If I'm mick I try to lighten the mood and take a practice and have some fun. Heck things can not get much worse.

Lighten the mood is a great idea. They aren't playing with much confidence. That's all it will take for this team to be a very good team. Confidence! If we don't find it soon this year will be a total loss. I think loosening them up and having fun is a good idea.
