My 1st thought is Curtis will probably go elsewhere if Cronin departs. Cumberland is at the point of no return now really. He isn't ready for the NBA and don't think he has graduated

To piggyback on that, other more high profile coaches turned UCLA away so has to be mutual interest at this point.

UCLA is in a totally different class than UNLV regardless of recent success or lack their of. More money, better facilities, more alumni and booster backing and I'm sure he would get all the perks needed to recruit at a higher level.

Saw an article speculating the top 2 would be Savino or Matta....then a basket full of "who the hell is that?" Mid major coaches. Doesn't sound fun to me.

Don’t really care at this point. Mick isn’t the greatest- middling results in the big east and only showed league success in the bad AAC with UConn faultering. We may make a bad hire or a good hire... but 13 years of limited tourney success is hard to keep ignoring. Even if people say it’s a one and out tourney and anything can happen how could he be on the wrong side of that for 9 straight years. I look forward to watching him fail at a school who refuses to accept mediocrity.

Ignoring all the excuses, sideline tantrums, awful offense, x brawl, trying to fight macura, disappointing recruiting... I could not care less who replaces him.
