I doubt Cumberland leaves, but how sad is it that he will be a senior and we don’t have anyone else even close to fill that void. And Curtis is our ONLY prospect... don’t you consider those problems? Who is responsible for that being a problem?

It's not all negative.It's really interesting getting on Va Tech and UCLA message boards. The overwhlemning consensus from unbiased fans of these programs is pretty telling in regards to what the perception of Cronin is..."Bad hire" "Always unimpressed by his teams" "boring style" "least favorite candidate" "horrible personality" "a-hole" "difficult person" "poor recruiter". This isn't me or anyone other Bearcat fans saying this stuff. Perception is everything. The main theme with a lot of Hokies fans is they think Cronin is a jerk to put it mildy. Pretty darn interesting. And I'm not talking one or two people saying it but a whole host of people. Wonder how they formulated their opinion?
Seton Hall has been implicated under FBI stuff so Willard does not excite me at all... Cronin would be much better than him. Cronin has had way more success too. 9 straight tournaments.
First of all, if he can just regularly make the tournament that would be success at VT.
Second of all, almost all of the alternatives have done worse in March. Willard is 1-4 in the tournament and Wojo is 0-2. Gregg Marshall is pretty much the only candidate who has actually done better in the tournament than Mick.
For me, Cronin is way higher than anyone besides Marshall on my list. I think he could do well here
There's a lot of hate for Mick, but I think he'd be a good hire.

UCLA favors two candidates to fill their head coaching position: TCU's Jamie Dixon and Cincinnati's Mick Cronin.
Have to think if he gets offered the UCLA job, he is gone.
