Already seeing the "UCLA should go after Chris Beard" articles. At what point does Mick withdraw his name due simply to embarrassment? He's literally nothing but a fallback...He's Hogsack's sadie hawkins.

Imagine being Mick Cronin and UCLA calling you now like hey you weren't our 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, or even 6th choice but we couldn't get any of them so now we want to offer you the job and pay you less than we were gonna pay them. If I were Mick and they offered me 2 weeks ago I would of accepted it but now I would tell them to shove it.

1) Tony Bennett or Chris beard (unable to talk to UCLA until now)
2) paid a fortune
3) about to be fired at their own place (Shaka?)

Otherwise UCLA must now hire an up and comer or Luke Walton/earl watson.

he makes 2.2 Million at UC.... If they offer him 4 million and a house in Malibu, then you'd have to have an awfully big ego not to take it.

Does Mick take the money and run ( I don't blame him) OR Sign an extension with UC using UCLA as leverage?

Mick has a bruised ego with both UC (who wants to under pay him) & with UCLA (who chose multiple guys over him).

Cause you are like the 10th choice. Will be very easy to move on from you. Especially since the guy making the hire won’t be at UCLA much longer. I think that’s a problem for UCLA. Guy no one likes making the hire and a fan base that gets nuts with expectations.

If he goes, he goes. Get the next up and coming coach. Xavier has went through it about 10 times and they are in decent shape. Make the right hire and you’ll be fine.
