Boy do I feel your pain. My last one gets out this winter. Hopefully I can hang on a bit longer. We do play at Micks pace. LOL!!!I'm still working Waite. Just got done with about 20 straight years of college tuition which did a number on my early retirement plans. So, those morning games are out for me. Plus, to afford these damn basketball tickets, I may have to work till I die....or go up into the nosebleeds, and I'm not ready to go up there just yet.
Madman81 you would be surprised. I still compete and train people on occasion at 62. If it wasn't for a bad shoulder I still would be kicking 60 year old bodybuilders butts. The last show, I finished 3rd against the kids. I also happen to be a one of the few retired GI's who have never drank a cup of coffee in his life. In all fairness I do get beat on defense from time to time. Even on the short court. Yes I do cherry pick. LOL!!!!is that before or after you sip coffee at mcdonald's for 3 hours?
Such an underwhelming crew outside of SK.
What a joke. Vaughn was 1st team All Big East as a sophomore. What does that say?
Cumberland and Evans aren't on the All time team yet but I expect at least Evans to be.
He will be a star at UC. He already showed he is unafraid at this level. He keeps working and we have a guy who could end up with better numbers than kilpatrick (maybe not in total points because Evan's will have shooters around him)
Gates doesn't get enough credit. He was pretty damn good.

Gates was great, Mick was never able to get the most out of him because of the style of basketball Mick played. He couldn't develop a big like Yancy to become the dominating post presence he should have been.
Yancy was a motivational problem as far back as High School. Nice Kid but not a hard worker It wasn't Mick's offense that hindered him it was his work habits. His late night Pizza's were a issue. If anything Micks slow down offense was built for Yancy. Yancy never struck me as a player that enjoyed running up and down the floor.Agreed. But when Yancy came back, the way he played from February til the end was a thing of beauty to watch. It's like the light went off for him. I'll never forget the way he dominated Georgetown in the BE tourney. It was bitter sweet bc I was like, where has that been. It just clicked for him a little too late.

That steal in the gtown game when he threw it to cash then right back for the lob dunk was one of my greatest memories. Also that reverse dunk he had on Texas I loved . It would be great to see that sweet 16 game against osu had yancy not picked up the 4th foul with like ten left, imo we would have pulled it out and been in the elite 8, but without yancy we had no stop for sullinger down the stretch
