McCalister is an idiot. He said if we fire mick we will fall to the likes of DePaul. Ummmmmm HELLOOOO, they have beaten us 2 of the last 3 years!! And he keeps making excuses about how the program was in turmoil when Mick took over, well look at Baylor. There were in a worse situatin that us and it got turned around in 5 years. I know this is Micks 4th year, but I dont see him getting us any better, we always collapse at the end of the year.

Lance is a nice guy. But his knowledge of sports is somewhat lacking in the nitty gritty details. He's good at finding info, but I've not seem him break down a team, as he usually simply posts stats.
Definitely a good blog though.

Constant improvement is a plus.

No one thought this would be easy. As Boheim said, even if you climb from last place to middle of the pack in our league, you've still got 6-7 teams ahead of you.

4 teams are ranked in the top 10 in the country. It's tough to beat them. Period.

If Mick can continue to improve the wins/losses, 19 wins could get us in.

Uconn is a big game.

Agree with BA. Uconn is huge....if we win this game I can see a nice little run in our future.

For all the people who want Mick fired, do you offer a solution? Is there a home run HC out there that will first come here and second bring in a top 10 recruiting class? Mick is in really good with a lot of 2011 kids and could possibly land UC's best recruiting class ever. Not sure it would be the best idea to throw that away based on your current displeasure, esp when the coach has made improvements each year.

Ok, its a known fact that your a Mick nut hugger, you always have been, even on bearcat news. I'm not sure what your waiting for, his 7-26 record in February/March speaks for itself. Im starting to doubt if your a true fan. You always want to forget about the past, but the past is what makes a PROGRAM. Yes, keep Mick and let him recruit. Have somebody else coach and teach them how to play basketball. Just kidding! Another stupid angry post.

I do believe Lance is good with stats and finding the research materials for show prep, but I also think he is lacking in commom sense at times.I think he needs to settle down. Comes across as a raging 24 hour valentine.

First about the past is what makes a program, I agree. This is why I know we have to give Mick time. Bob Huggins built this program and tore it down in 3 months with poor decision. Sure there were other factors but ultimately it was his actions.

Mick has been asked to build from nothing. He has progressed every year he has been here. He was gaurenteed 5 years when he got here and he will get that I am sure.

People MUST be realistic. We had NOTHING when Mick arrived. He was thrown into the wolves with nothing but JUCO's that most didn't want.

You don't realize how big of a feat it has been for him to recruit the players he has.

Sure Mick has his faults I do not like. I am not saying he is the guy 100 %, BUT I certainly can appreciate what he has overcome in a short time.

NO WAY did I think he would have us this far SO SOON. But expectations change and he must meet the new ones, which is good.

Lastly please go back to bucknuts or whatever OSU message board you like to go too.

We are going to be less controlling then some of the other free and pay websites. Our goal is to be a place where people can talk about UC sports with a focus in recruiting. We are excited for signing day for football tomorrow.

Our setup is clean and organized. As an senior moderator it is my goal to let this site be the "fans website".

Still is...Playing in the CBI and losing to Depaul to end the past two seasons is hardly anything to brag about. Plus, slipping again here in the final games of the season.

Im with Franchise on this one.

I will gladly talk to other teams fans about UC sports. There are multiple people on here who are not UC fans. That is fine.

Mick has won more games every year. He had us in great position to make the tournament last year what most thought was 2 years before he should. This year still needs to be played out.

Who do you suggest we bring in? Who is going to have the 2011 class Mick looks like he is going to have?

Showing ignorance... Mick is one of the premier recruiters in the nation.

UC has more 5 star players than the entire BIG 10.

He recruited these players during our darkest time. Unfourtanately, they are freshman and sophomores but nobody seems to care.

Our program had NO ONE.

We now have the talent. Now we need to get them playing together. MIck has brought them here. The question remains can he coach them up.

Mick has done a great job, given what he was handed. Nothing.
The Juco players did a good job of holding down the fort while Cronin began recruiting. Hell, I'd take a couple of those guys now, especially at PG.
What concerns me is the trouble Mick has in getting the players to execute his offense. Either it's the wrong players (and I remember MC saying he wanted to bring in shooters) or his coaching style needs adjusting. Trouble for Mick is that the fans are running out of patience.
