I'm very excited about this teams development. I believe I disagree with the line up but this years team will see a variety of combinations and interchangeable parts.
 
Rothstein is definitely a homer, but I do have to say it's probably good for players to hear someone who is affiliated with cbs giving them high praise. They work hard and it's nice that someone on a nationwide level is acknowledging it.

All kidding aside, I like hearing what he has to say. He does only report really positive things but I've never gotten the impression that he just blows smoke up your ass. He just tries to look at positives. Some of it does come across over-the-top at times.

Biggest surprise I saw this week after seeing multiple practices? Cincinnati's Ge'lawn Guyn. In terrific shape. Primed for a big year.

Didn't really see a thread for the Bahamas trip but had a question. I saw what I believed to be the schedule for the Bahamas tourney in general (for all the teams) It looks like UC is playing 1 practice, 1 game and 1 intrasquad game and that's it. I was wondering if that is correct?! I guess I was expecting 3 full games on top of a few practices. It looked like UK is playing like 5 games.

That's correct. More of a team bonding trip with so many new guys to mold into a team. They did want one more game, but the scheduling didn't work out...

Thanks Chad! Any word on any live streaming of the games? It'd be nice if UC was able to stream it off their website.
 
It's exciting to have the depth of talent that we suddenly have. They may not all develop into good players, but with so many decent players in the system, it stands to reason that more than a few will rise to become the type of players that we can all get excited about. In the recent past, you just couldn't visualize how many of the guys on the roster could ever be very good. Very few even looked decent when they got here and it took a long time before they contributed in a major way.

The talent base of these recent recruits is higher. I don't think we'll be waiting till they are seniors to see a lot of them blossom. Some of the comments about Guyn and Shaq are promising. Lots of options on this team. Should be fun watching this team evolve.

Eh, I would get burned out on any sport that was year round. Plus, I like the break from sports I get in the summer (not a huge baseball fan) since I am usually too busy to follow things closely.

I mostly get more excited for the season months before it starts than I actually am when the season is in play. For all sports. Come December Im going to be wanting it to be Reds season again. But Im weird

Summer sports blow the big one. Watching baseball is insufferable. Can't wait for football/basketball

No real reason just always annoys me, we have a 00 on my baseball team now and it drives me nuts. I just dont consider it a sport number just like you cant have a negative number :)
