Cobb...first half

Evans...he's just more effective on offense than Shaq

Shaq will have his games. He just presses so much sometimes. He looked better to open the 2nd half, I think he was just so amped at the start.

Lots of room to improve. I love where we're at right now.

I hope so. Shaq looked like he slowed things down in Exhibition...tonight he looked like the old Shaq. Evans looked superior as a BB player.

That's true. Doesn't take away his decent game off bench

Everyone else in the backcourt can create for others. I'm not worried at all about KJ coming in firing. In fact, I'd rather that than have him play timid. Easier to tone things down than ramp things up imo.

Not sure how this makes sense with fact in mind. KJ had 3 assists tonight which was tied for team high.

He dished out those 3 assists in less minutes than any other player who dished out 3

I agree with jake kj will be fine he played a little frantic tonight an pressed a little bit, he is a player that plays well come March which we will need, he has very good touch from 3 I really didn't think he was playing that selfish.

Post game presser with Clark and Cobb was fun!

Not as much fun as the one with Caupain and KJ. But these guys are all saying the same thing..team ball. I can't wait for when Ellis and Caupain are up there...it will be a BIG game!!

I love Clark. He's so polite. We have some good kids in this program...Mick was saying part of the deal with Scott was just wanting to have him around bc he's such a good and smart kid.

That's awesome to know we have good kids waiting in the wings

You will be hard pressed to find a program with better kids from top to bottom. I'm sure there are some as good, but can't imagine anyone topping UC in that aspect...

overall I was happy with the play last night. I do think many times we get ahead and allow the opponent to frequent scoring opportunities that make the score look much closer. That was the case last night. Poor concentration and focus in the second half. This is also evidenced by Western scoring 50 points in the second half. The second half score was UC 55-WC 50. Not stellar. We gave up only 22 points at half. What happened to that team in the second half? We allowed too many 3 pointers for my liking. Keep in mind, a few of those were really long range-27-30 feet. Not much can be done to defend those type of shots, however, we allowed to many open looks from 3 point range. Rebounding for the most part was good, shot selection for the most part was good, passing good however Jenifer had too many turnovers and made risky plays resulting in turnovers. In terms of freshman, Evans looks good and seems well poised and mature as a player for his age. Just my thoughts on last night.

Jenifer I believe had one turnover that Shaq should've had. The other two was trying make something happen. I'll take everybody performance last night. Just need better rebounding and concentration on defense
