Transfer Vince Cole a 6-6 guard is a senior transfering from ST.Johns .He was on campus last year before going to ST.J's. He was a top ten Juco at that point.

St. John's fans don't have much good to say about him. He shot well from 3 (36%) and the FT line (83%) but not great from inside the arch (42%). He played on a team with 2 good PGs and they played fast and often sacrificed defense for offense. Watching some of his highlights from this season, he seems to have a funky release and made shots look a lot more difficult than they needed to be.

I'd pass on him but he wouldn't be the worst depth piece possible.

Halftime discussion about Walker Kessler entering the portal. Five star 7'1" freshman center from UNC. The next few months are going to be insane.

Boston College transfer CJ Felder has heard from the following schools: South Carolina, Georgia, Texas A&M, Murray State, Virginia, LSU, Cincinnati, and Xavier.

Averaged 10 points and six rebounds per game for the Eagles this season.

True story! I almost got into fight with his dad at high school couple years back. Kessler, totally different animal than Vogt I’ll tell you that. Honestly JB might have serious chance with him and his parents

Would be a great pick-up. May be difficult to keep him from returning to the south.

I do we compete with X for most of our recruits? Who do hell is the salesman? Would you rather ride spaceship or cruise in Norwood on dail a ride bus? If a recruit see both campus and pick X, our PR department needs makeover

If the recruiter's are the same at this point, I wonder what's the message to recruits?

Something stinks, lol!

Nobody on the staff is a dynamite recruiter...Facts!

The hangover as a fan that I am dealing with is almost 30 years of having good recruiting and branding, to now a stripped down version, with no branding.

I guess these guys we have now have to "Turn some tricks" to get some players.

I hope not, but I'm almost out of optimism.

My issue with Brannens philosophy is he is recruiting like he is still at NKU. Cincinnati is known for its toughness and his last two classes other than JD and David are the furthest thing from tough. Cincinnati is a very blue collar hard working city and we get those kind of player, say what you will about Mick but Mick recruited some tough guys, now that didn't always translate to wins and tournament success and I know Brannen has a much different approach but nothing about the last two classes gave me any indication of toughness. The guys that left show you everything you need to see in them, they quit, they quit on there team, they quit on there other brothers in the locker room...They have every right to do what they want to do, its there life but what's your why? Like why are you transferring, you chose UC, you are leaving because JB coaches to hard? or he wasn't honest with you? Like what do you want? I always felt like Tari and Zach felt like they were to big for UC, like where are the madsons gonna go? Mason always talked about how he loved playing on this stage... well where ever you go wont be on the same stage as UC, Mikey will get some looks, but Mikey is not anything special to the point where Duke, UNC, UK etc want him. There are 800 players in the portal right now. I feel like if that freshman class came in with Gary and Kyle and Jacob as seniors they wouldn't be leaving. Brannen can win, he's proved that at NKU and here to a certain degree, we just had zero leadership on this team this year and it was all about each individual player being too much in there own feelings and parents on twitter and just way to much noise that should of been kept inhouse.

Its also very hard to find this toughness in the transfer portal when guys are older. We found a gem with DDJ

Agreed. Sort of... Brannen definitely struggling to mix high iq basketball and a level of toughness... Which btw.. Mick struggled mixing the two as well. They just happened to be on polar opposite sides.

Micks philosophy got us to March... But you need basketball players to win in march.
