Quite a few players from NCAA tournament teams in the portal: Noah Locke from Florida, Dallas Walton and D'Shawn Schwartz from Colorado, Jacob Young and Myles Johnson from Rutgers, Emmitt Matthews from West Virginia, Nate Reuvers from Wisconsin, James Reese from North Texas.

Add Jeriah Horne to the list from Colorado, their leading rebounder and second leading scorer. Apparently he's headed back to Tulsa.

A trio of underclassmen from Syracuse are in the portal, with typical Syracuse length: 6'5" guard Kadari Richmond, 6'7" forward Robert Braswell, and 6'10" center John Bol Ajak.

Transfer Vince Cole a 6-6 guard is a senior transfering from ST.Johns .He was on campus last year before going to ST.J's. He was a top ten Juco at that point.
Isiah Moore has been linked to us from St Johns. In addition to him and Cole, juniors Josh Roberts, Greg Williams, and Marcellus Earlington have entered the portal. Williams and Earlington shot over 40% from three this year. Roberts is a 6'9" forward with a 66 true shooting percentage, 12.8 OReb rate and 7.8 block rate. His numbers are similar to Moore in a lot of ways. Quite the exodus from St Johns.

Cameron Holden put us in his final 6. He checks off some areas of need. 6'5 wing but has a 20.9 DR% and 15.6 OR%. 19.3 assist rate with a 13.7 TOrate. 3.7 stl% is nice too.

30.8 usage rate with 104.7 ORTG in the OVC. Took tons of midrange shots but maybe we could fix that.

Matt Bradley entered the portal. Cal's leading scorer the last two seasons.

Four Texas Tech players are transferring after Beard's departure, including big man Marcus Santos-Silva.

I think we are likely to look for a bit different player now. Out with the Madsen twins, and Bryson Spell type guys I'd imagine.

Back to the days of long athletic guys would be my guess.

I'm sure Martin is familiar with some of the guys in the portal, hopefully he knows the ones he wants to target. Gotta get the contract signed so he can get after these guys.

I listened to about a 30 minute interview of his and he talked about how much he has recruited Ohio and how he think high school coaches will send him players that fit what he's looking for (the question asked was about if he were a head coach in the future).

He knows Ohio and this is a pretty good time to be a big recruiter in ohio.

The portal is still growing too.

Some Big12 guys have entered recently, who Martin would be familiar with. Mac McClung and Kyler Edwards from Texas Tech. Rasir Bolton and Jalen Coleman-Lands from Iowa St. All four have PRPG of 3.0 or higher (we didn't have anybody above 2.6).

Next year is not out of the equation for us. If he can get some guys quickly he can put his coaching talents on display this year.

Martin has a link to Teddy Allen, who is in the portal. He started at WVU a few years ago then went to Juco after sitting a year at Wichita St and played at Nebraska this year.

Teddy Allen reminds me a lot of Zach Harvey. I'd worry about what kind of locker room presence he is.

Mac McClung will have his pick of any school in the nation with an open spot. I highly doubt we'd be on his radar if he does return for another season.

He was basically lock for us out of high school. Was supposed be Mick 1st white boy. I believe he was from VA so so he might consider us

There's no smoke yet about incoming transfers from UNCG, but if I had to take my pick of players off their roster, here would be my top 3:

1) Isaiah Miller (5th year) - 6'0 PG:

2-time SoCon POY and DPOY who would be one of the best players in the AAC from day 1. Has entered the NBA draft and hired an agent, so the odds of getting him back in the college game may be low.

2) Mohammed Abdulsalam (4th year) - 6'9 F/C:

Strong/mobile back-to-the-basket player who led the team in rebounding last season despite playing just 19 min/game.

3) Hayden Koval (5th year) - 7'1 C:

Lanky big guy who played 3 years at Central Arkansas before joining UNCG last season. He led the team in WS/40 min while hitting 31% of his 3s, averaging 2.2 blocks/game, and only committing a ridiculous 10 turnovers on the season.

I posted in the Wes thread, but I left Koval off cause I'm not sure of the rules. He transferred once, can he do it again for free?
