Predict the Seed and the Region

Gotta beat them all at some point. I think we will beat Harvard, they are very undersized. MSU is the tough one, but I don't think they are much different than playing a Louisville type of team. We have proven this year that we can hang with anyone, don't get too upset. If we get hot, we are as good as any other team on our side of the bracket.

I agree. The biggest thing that sucks is we have no one who can hang with Payne. He is a straight beast.

Cincinnati played 6 teams OOC that made the NCAA tournament. Not worried about it. Getting in a preseason tournament will really help.

Yet here we are at 27-6 without a single bad loss and we're a 5 seed with a terrible draw. We did play some really good schools in NCCU, NC State, Pitt, Xavier, New Mexico, and Nebraska, but it was the rest of the schedule outside of those 6 games and the Middle Tennessee game that really hurt us. 5 games against sub-260 RPI teams. Those absolutely kill us. We have to find a way to replace 2 or 3 of those with quality teams. I know it is going to cost us some cash, but we need to schedule some MVC or MAC schools instead of schools from the MEAC or Southern Conference.

We played in a conference where 10 games were against 200+ RPI teams. Next year we have E. Illinois, NC Central, Middle Tennessee, Creighton/Ole Miss, @Nebraska, @NC State, San Diego State, VCU (rumor), Xavier. There are rumors that the league could go to 20 conference games, so that leaves just potentially 2 OOC games left to schedule. You realize most of the problem was in the conference schedule, right?

Guys I'm really not that concerned about the draw. When I look at all the teams this year there isn't really that one dominate team out there. Could we have gotten a easier 1st rounder then the best team in Ivy League. Sure, but it's a game we should win. MSU will be tough but they are not unbeatable. We have played the team I feel is playing the best basketball in the field,Louisville twice and are 1-1 against them. We will be competitive.

Harvard doesn't know what is about to hit them. I don't care how many double figure scorers they have. Look what our defense did to Louisville twice, and other strong offensive teams. I refuse to believe that Harvard's athleticism will intimidate us at all. If we play smart, with our usual effort, and under control, we'll win by double digits. If we lose to Harvard, a lot of the shine will be gone from this season. I don't look for Harvard to reach 50. Conversely, I look for us to get at least 60. 61-49 sounds about right.

Finally, someone has our back. Seth Greenberg picks us to win. He's the only one so far.

Other than I don't make predictions for fear of jinxing, I agree with the assessment. If Louisville and Rick Pitino weren't ready for what our defense hit them with then I'm sure Harvard hasn't seen anything like it. With that said if we come out and take them lightly and don't close out on defense they will find open shots. And it sounds like they are a team that can hit open shots.

I guarantee you, they've seen nothing like JJ and Rub on the interior defense. I see Mick hitting them with a flurry with our press from the outset and them not knowing whether to sh#t or wind their watch before they figure out what hit them. This extra rest should bring extra energy to the defense and the press.

Lets hope...you making the trip?

3 days ago people were chomping at the bit to play MSU when I said the same thing. Nothing is impossible but it's tough. Either way, I look forward to taking Thursday off to cheer like a fool at the local watering hole.

After listening to the committee chair speak about Louisville and Virginia seeding; I have to wonder if the fact that the ACC has 2 members[including the chairman] on it and the AAC none, had any impact.

I don't think anyone was/is chomping at the bit to play Michigan State, except maybe Bearcat Rob.

I can only get sweet 16 tickets thru UC and I wiil go....hopefully. Spokane is a little far away. Leaning toward not going out there, especially after the screwing we got.

I talked to them last week and he said if it was far away I might can snag some through UC as most people were only requesting drivable cities. We were planning on going. I've been looking at flights. Yikes. Not a major destination. I only asked because in previous posts you say you usually go to the tourney. If I get tickets through UC it will mean nobody is going. They say they only get around 250 tickets. I'm about 1500 in priority line.
