jake lots to like about the organization. If the bull pen turns out to be what has us losing we will in good shape shortly. We are 1 game over 500 with Votto hitting 185, only one of our projected starting pitchers in the rotation,Mesoraco is hitting worse then Joey. Yes the bull pen is bad but Cozart,Bruce,Cozart, Finnegqn,Stephenson and Iggy are playing well. I also could add Barnhardt to that list.

Don't get me wrong, I like the direction. No sense in having a lights out pen if you aren't contending. Suarez and Phillips have been good too. Excited to get Desclafani and Bailey back as well.

Any idea how any of the guys in the minors are doing? I haven't kept up on much this week.

Winker and Peraza are both hitting over 300 at Louisville.

Many of the pitchers are performing well. Garrett, Travieso,Mahle

Stephenson is doing very well and Drew Hayes was just called up.

2016 MLB mock draft: Phillies passing on N.J.'s Jason Groome? Things could change, Puk is having back spasms and not throwing as well in the past month. Then there is Pint

Looks like I'll be starting Seager in my Utility spot all weekend. I need Cano to start hitting some bombs again too.

Against our pitching I would say your are spot on. Good luck!!

I had Nelson Cruz too but traded him straight up for Scherzer a couple weeks ago. I need Donaldson to heat back up...I'm sitting in 4th in my roto league, and I'm hoping Donaldson and Price are going to get on a roll. Price has been better, but I need him and Scherzer to make up for the damage that Sonny Gray was doing to my pitching staff (I dropped him for Steven Wright last week).

How is your team looking?

I got Harper and while he scores on walks I would rather they gave him. A pitch to hit. I also have Altuve at second. He is a good player. I'm sitting tied for second. I'm in a keeper league. I'm thin in startering pitching and my closers are not getting a lot of opportunities.

Dang Harper and Altuve is awesome. Who are your Starting Pitchers?

I'm in four leagues. And starting anybody against the Reds is golden.

I lost Perkins and Street, so I'm down to 2 closers. And Dyson just got the job. Cingrani and Ohlendorf are both available, but I honestly think I'd rather lose saves than have these guys tank my ERA, WHIP, and HR allowed. It's so pathetic. The good news is that they're helping the Reds get a better draft pick next year. Plus, I'm the long run I could see guys like Garrett, Lorenzen, Finnegan, and Stephenson making up a decent bullpen. But no reason to give up on them as starters quite yet (except maybe Lorenzen).

Saves is one category, sometimes you have to cut your losses. If you can't carry four closers on winning teams then sometimes it's best to load on starters and go for strikeouts and wins. Just be careful you don't get guys that drag WHIP and ERA down. I love fantasy baseball way more than football. So much more stategy, especially in daily leagues. I've had leagues where I didn't even take closers and drafted better starters. I've had leagues where I go after average and SB. Got to find categories you can dominate in because it's hard to be loaded at everything. Honestly my approach is usually to stack up on pitching. I had a league two years ago, I had Kershaw and Scherzer and kluber his rookie year. They were 3 of the best 5 pitchers that year. Had four top closers. I won every pitching category every week. So I needed to win one hitting category. I picked up guys that were nobody's but hit .300 and could grab some steals. I snuck into the playoffs going 6-4 some weeks, but come playoff time nobody could beat my pitching and I just had to win one hitting category which wasn't hard. Yan gomes and Alex Gordon literally were my two best hitters but I won the league.

I definitely agree with Fantasy Baseball being better than football. I'm in 1 H2H and 1 roto league. The roto league is 14 categories, so I try to load up on power hitters bc SLG% is one of the extra categories. In my head to head league, you get 6 transactions per week, so I use 1 spot to stream a new pitcher everyday and try to win K, W, and QS. Then if I have a good week, I can win WHIP, ERA, and Saves. So I basically never lose in pitching. My closers are Chapman, Kimbrel, Osuna, and Ramos too. And by using the moves to stream starters, I end up keeping them if they do well. That's how I got Pomeranz, Nola, and Steven Wright this year. I love playing any format bc the daily aspect of it is what makes it so great.

*I also had Yan Gomes that year. Why isn't he good anymore?
