I definitely agree with Fantasy Baseball being better than football. I'm in 1 H2H and 1 roto league. The roto league is 14 categories, so I try to load up on power hitters bc SLG% is one of the extra categories. In my head to head league, you get 6 transactions per week, so I use 1 spot to stream a new pitcher everyday and try to win K, W, and QS. Then if I have a good week, I can win WHIP, ERA, and Saves. So I basically never lose in pitching. My closers are Chapman, Kimbrel, Osuna, and Ramos too. And by using the moves to stream starters, I end up keeping them if they do well. That's how I got Pomeranz, Nola, and Steven Wright this year. I love playing any format bc the daily aspect of it is what makes it so great.

*I also had Yan Gomes that year. Why isn't he good anymore?

I did a roto league last year for the first time. I wasn't a big fan. Once you're behind you're kind of stuck. I joined a dynasty league this year. Took over a decent team but not a good one. 34 roster spots, at least 4 minor leaguers. 12 teams. Can keep as many players as you want. Imagine trying to improve a team in that league. Got to go young and hope they pan out. I was able to snag Eickoff and Conley this year so I'm happy with that. I'm not really versed on minor leaguers to look out for. H2H leagues are my favorite. Yeah the league I've won the last two years, it took me awhile to realize guys were adding and dropping pitchers every day. I was losing and couldn't figure out how these guys were getting getting so many wins and strikeouts. I like to keep pitchers and not drop good ones. I'll get a situation where a have a guy that is so-so and then rotate through guys with that one spot. But yeah you can snag some decent pitchers that way cause guys will drop them to grab an extra start. I just scratch my head. I don't care where I finish as long as I make the playoffs. Then I drop all my bench hitters and rotate pitchers in and out.

Saw him pitch in San Diego a few years ago. Got him in two leagues. His numbers are going down. Not sure if he's just getting worn down or what.

I know his velocity was way down at the beginning of the year. I wonder how much he'll get back as the year goes on. I stayed away from him in both of my leagues this year.

34 roster spots sounds awesome. My roto league just started doing keeper this year but you can only keep 1 hitter, 1 pitcher, and 2 minor leaguers. I don't know a ton about prospects but I have Alex Bregman and Orlando Arcia right now. I had A.J. Reed for Houston bc I thought he'd be up first but he was sucking and went on the DL so I got Bregman bc the Astros called him up to AA and started playing him at 3rd. He was the #2 pick last year and is a college guy, so if Moran struggles and Valbuena keeps sucking he might be up sooner than later. Conley and Eickoff are really good adds in that kind of league. Does anyone e have Tyler Duffey yet? Outside of yesterday, he's been alright. I'd imagine he's probably owned though, you probably gotta go super deep and take some risks in that league. That makes it a lot more fun though. Especially if everyone in the league is dialed in.

Actually I picked him up in that league last week. I'm still learning the ropes in that league. But pitchers can make a ton of points and it's a weekly set. So no need to carry a bunch of hitters cause you're pretty much running the same lineup for a weekly set. But pitchers either get one or two starts in a week so the more you have the more two pitch starters you can run each week. The good part of 34 roster spots is you can carry guys you know you'll never play. I have a league where we can carry one NA guy, so basically a minor leaguer. Last year I used it on Byron Buxton. Considered one if top two prospects last year. Well he got called up and to keep him I had to drop a player to fit him in and I'm only carrying one, two hitters on my bench and he wasn't doing crap. So I had to drop him to still try and be competitive for a daily set. In this dynasty league I picked up a guy like duffey who honestly could turn out to be good and could not but I can stash him on the bench and never use him. Same with Henry owens. It is an interesting league and I like it but it's darn near impossible to improve a team in the short term. And it's a $115 buy in and $1 per transaction so if you know your team sucks that's a lot of money to shell out. My team I took over finished 7th last year. 5 make playoffs. There are 3 or 4 clearly stacked teams. They've been doing the league like 12 years or something. It's crazy. But guys keep dropping out because there's no way to build a team in the short term and why pay that money? I have one league we keep eight and there's eight teams so you can keep your core every year and redraft and there's plenty of talent to draft and on the waiver wire. I got another league that keeps eight and there's 12 teams. Weird rule you can keep a guy for only three years but when you trade for a player it adds a year to their contract. So the Kershaws and trouts of the world just keep getting swapped back and forth with the top teams and that league is unbalanced. I took over a bad team and I'm in year three and have actually improved it quite well with some smart trades. I literally in one day, two trades last year on the trade deadline added machado, pollack, blackmon, Tyson ross, gio Gonzalez and Gerrit cole. It was nuts. I dint even give up much. Dude wanted kluber so bad he gave me pollack, gio and ross for him. The other trade he was losing cole, but I got machado and blackmon with cole for Longoria, Steven vogt (the dude had no catcher at all bc of Mesoraco and another guy being hurt) and hunter pence and James shields.

Has there ever been a worse pitching staff? Serious question.

Jake I can.t remember the last time we pitched this bad. Injuries on top of the rebuild has really magnified how bad the staff has been. Really hoping July gets here soon. Reed and Stephenson will be on the right side of super 2 status and should be in the rotation. Also Garrett is having a very nice year in AA.

Yep I'm excited about those guys. Are Desclafani and Bailey ever coming back?

Bailey I would be surprised to see before September. No sense rushing him with how they are playing.

Desclafini throw 4 innings in a rehab at Louisville the other night.
4 innings, 1 hit, 1 run and 7 strikeouts. The hit was a HR. he is getting close.

Iggy, I haven't heard anything on in awhile

Came back from being down 12-2 to win 16-13. Seager is starting to heat up after hitting unde .200 for nearly the entire first month :)

His .118 BABIP couldn't last forever. Glad Donaldson was off today bc I started Seager in my roto league. What a crazy series. I can't believe San Diego's offense was able to hang.

Yeah surprised that the games were so high scoring. We're getting hit with the injury bug though King Felix just went on the DL to join Leonys Martin and Ketel Marte, both of whom were really playing well.

Yeah wow Martin was really realizing his power potential that he never found in Texas. Shawn O'Malley is one of my buddies cousins and married a girl from my HS. I hope he can help fill in decently as a placeholder for Marte.

I moved into 1st in my roto league after an 18-37 day yesterday and 30 RBIs last 3 days. I'm even getting HRs from Villar. Crazy hot stretch. Now if Rizzo and Donaldson would start hitting I'd really be in business.
