I still am under the opinion that Chapman would get rocked his second and third time through a line-up. Once people time him he becomes very hittable. Sure, adding pitches and throwing them effectively should keep hitters guessing and maybe it could work out for him as a starter but I don't want him adjusting to that at the major league level. I just wish he had a little movement on his fastball. I think Chapman is best suited as a closer. Some people think closers are overrated, I'm not one of those people. We have plenty of arms who can start and he is a proven closer.
As far as Hoover is concerned I wouldn't be upset if he never throws another pitch for the Reds. He was just awful last year. Awful.
