Too late. Lecure is 1-4 with a 4.50 ERA. His a$$ will either be moved to the bullpen as a long man or shipped back to Louisville (AAA). Unless you have wicked junk (Bronson) or crazy movement (Leake), it is nearly impossible to make it in the Bigs with a fastball that tops out at 90-91.

In his defense, I just saw on the bottom line on ESPN... in his last four starts, all losses, the Reds have scored a grand total of 5 runs... fact is, he's pitched better than Harang and his numbers are very comparable to where Bailey's were when he went down with the injury... and for that matter, Bronson only holds a 4.35 ERA... not sterling himself... I'm not saying LeCure is one of the top 5 starters in the Reds organization, because I don't believe he is... but I do believe he deserves a spot on the major league club somewhere... just my opinion though.

And for that matter, Alum... you know you're last statement isn't true... PLENTY of good pitchers have made it in the majors with a fastball that tops out in the low 90's... it's called pitching... not throwing... Greg Maddux anyone?

When Volquez comes back it is his spot. Bailey won't see the rotation again this year barring a spot start or injuries. LeCure's numbers don't look sexy but he has given the Reds a chance to win, Bailey plenty of times doesn't. With that said, I'm sure he'll be sent down when Volquez comes back. They probably will want to keep him a starter for the time being. I think it's time to put Bailey in the bullpen. I'd like to see him in a set-up role. Also would like to see Chapman come up in the bullpen sometime after the all star break.

This is what I was thinking... I'd be okay with having Chapman, Bailey and LeCure all in the bullpen... Herrera needs to go...

Nice to take 2 of 3 vs. the defending NL Champs. Everybody complained we hadn't beaten anybody. Phillies might be the best team we face this year. Beat Halladay going the distance. Sucks we blew the game last night after Votto tied it in the ninth, but I'm happy with winning the series. And the Cards just lost today, so back in first place agin!

Good home stand and the Reds are now 7 wins in their last 9 games after being swept by Seattle... that's a serious response... now if they can just get clear of that ten games over .500 hurdle in Chicago, I think this team could really take off...

Should give the Reds some additional confidence, especially with a couple pitchers yet in the fold.

Reds had lots of hits yesterday, but little to show for it. Today, they went nuts.

2-1 Cubs early... if Leake can learn to keep his breaking ball down in the strike zone at all times and stop hanging them, he'll be the pitcher we saw his first 10 starts in the big leagues... he's smart, has good movement on his pitches and works quick... he's just got to keep the ball down and he'll be a good pitcher for a long time, imo... but, the same could be said for a lot of guys so we'll see how he develops; he's now allowed 10 home runs on the year...

Drew Stubbs crushes a ball to left field out of Wrigley onto the street off Lilly... boy he is an intriguing player... his potential is almost as unreal as Jay Bruce's... really they're very similar players... Stubbs is a bit faster than Bruce while Bruce has slightly more power and a better arm... the prospect of those two manning Center and Right for the next ten years makes me smile...

Got Youkilis on the AL ballot. Lets put Votto and a Bearcat in!!

As I wrote this Stubbs just hit his third homer of the game! Nice!

I don't think there's a limit to the amount of votes you can cast in one day... I just spent between 5-10 minutes voting straight... must have voted at least 50 times for Youk and Votto... plan to have a nice session like that every day until Thursday.

Dude, I did the same exact thing. I voted at least 50 times. I will probably spend some time while watching the games every night voting.
