This Series is sold out for the weekend. That's so nice to see.
That was a real tough loss tonight. Coco is killing his self by walking batters. I also think it's time to sit Stubbs and maybe Bruce. I can see running Bruce out there because of his glove, but not stubbs.
I would like to see an outfield of Gomes, Heisey, and Nix. 111 strikeouts and a 230 BA is not going to get it done in a race this close.
I agree about Stubbs and Bruce. Bruce you can't take out because of his glove, but Stubbs could be platooned with Heisey at least every few days. Nix can't play regularly. I think he's suited to be a pinch hitter and at best a spot starter.
After last night job, I would give Heisey the nod as the starter. Stubbs just isn't ready. Maybe he will be in a few yew years, but I think it's time to give Chris his try.
How about Votto? Chasing the first triple crown in the the NL since 1934. I think he will come up at shortbut it's sure fun to watch.
Big game in a few hrs. Go Reds!
I had not heard Coco's comments. That is refreshing to hear that from a pro athlete.Great weekend for the Reds. Soldout series that they won over a first place team -- arguably the best in the NL.
Anyone catch Cordero's comments after the game. When asked about being tired with pitching everyday if he thought of saying he wasn't available. He said something to the effect of "I make too much money to not take the ball when asked."

In a word: Fail.
Brutal.
HOWEVER.......Brandon Philips is the truth! I hate me some 'Cards too!!!!
Also, Scott Rolen is the most crusty player in the league and I WOULD NOT want Rolen fighting me in a brawl (thanks for coming Carpenter).
I love what Phillips said and agree... and I honestly think most of the media and league agrees too... LaRussa, Duncan (and Carpenter) and Co. complain and bitch and moan more than any team I can think of in the National League... HOWEVER, if he's going to come out and say that, he's got to have a better series than he did... I think he had a grand total of two hits...
Sweep of the Marlins always helps the cause...
Reds jump Cards for 1st place.
Our pitching is very, very deep. Cannot wait to get Chapman up here....if there is room.
