Who is Kilpatrick?

Last night he was the most talked about player in the country. He has been named Big East player of the week already and is becoming a household name as a sophmore. Not only that, but he is probably the best ambassador for UC basketball that I can think of. Good kid, smart kid, polite, oh and he can ball.

It is one of the many amazing things that came from that ass whipping. It just shows his mental toughness.

I agree. Good, all around gentleman. Will take him any day over that punk in Norwood.

I think most people are confused thinking Xavier fans were chanting "Who's Kilpatrick?" They were actually chanting "Whose Kilpatrick?" because they weren't sure who can guard him.

I'm pretty sure they were chanting "Who's Kilpatrick" because I'm sure they weren't worried about who could stop his 3 of 12 for 11 points that day. :D

He is playing well though, very clutch shooting from him. To be honest I haven't watched much of him outside of the crosstown, any chance of him playing in the NBA/leaving early?

In my opinion: No.

I love SK. He is a great college player. Obviously great offensively and quite frankly he has quickly turned into a very good defender. But he simply lacks the length and athleticism to play in the NBA.

It seems like you have to be 6'6 to play 2 guard unless you are an incredible athlete anymore.

Sean may get a chance, but I think leaving early would be a mistake.

I think if he improves his handle over the next year or two, he will have a chance. 6'4" is not bad for a 2 guard and his shot will only improve. I think it is entirely possible that he gets drafted after next year if he continues to improve.

Out of curiousity if you don't watch the Cats why are you on the board. No offense but I had to ask?

Kcourt and every other Xavier fan watch UC religiously. For several reasons.

- If they lose they want to be the first to know
- They enjoy watching high end BE basketball
- Watching XU vs Our sisters of the poor just doesnt cut it, and I dont blame them.

I honestly know several xaiver fans who record UC games if they cant watch them live.

For the record if I know xavier is playing ill check their score, but I havent watch any of their games outside of the shootout.

Kcourt has been apart of this board forever. He is encouraged to keep posting. He is fun to go back and forth with.

I don't have a problem with anyone posting. I think I originally got the feeling that Kcourt followed UC but still rooted for X when they played each other. When he mentioned that he hadn't watched SK since the shootout I just questioned why he was posting. I'm good!

You hit some points that I always wondered about. I have many friends that are XU fans and it always amazes me on how they almost worry more about things that happen in the UC program than their own.

I grew up in a home that rooted for all the local teams. I definately was raised as a UC fan but never held any ill will toward X, until I got to high school. The ill will or dislike developed because of their fans absolute hatred of the UC program, not on the program itself.

I think thats the key. His handle and explosion needs to improve. Handle is definantly something he can work on.. Most nba 2's are bigger or just freak athletes. Sk really isnt a unreal athlete so it will be a tough road. But if he keeps improving and posts 20+ his senior seasion he will get picked up imo.

There is always room in the NBA for guys who can shoot, he may get a look but will end up pretty successful overseas.

Haha, I figured I'd lure the X guy out on that one. It was merely a joke... probably not a good one. Since that game though everyone is taking notice of who Kilpatrick is.

I like most of the people here, seems like it's a small enough group that you can get a lot of good conversation going. Also, for the most part there is some fun jabbing along the way.
