The reason I bring this is up is maybe their mind is made up but they're purposely dragging this out to save themselves some money.

I think somebody had that wrong. I believe if Brannen was hired somewhere else, the cost owed to UC goes down after March 31st.

Well, shit. I was trying to come up with any reason whatsoever to explain John Cunningham's handling of this.

I think more than talking about firing John Brannen we need to talk about firing this dude. These last two weeks have shown him to be completely incompetent.

How the hell do you wait this long to say something (almost two weeks) and this is your statement? This should have already been in the works if UC felt it necessary.

UC is much farther along in the process than it wants the public to know. Cunningham is an attorney and this is not his first negotiation. He knows how this works. We will know where this headed sooner than later.

If I'm Davenport, MAW, or Dejulius, I'm putting my name in the portal immediately.

They have no clue who their coach is going to be and the portal is just going to get more and more crowded.

Who knows how long UC will take to do their "investigation" and how long it will be until he's offically fired. Then how long are they going to take to find a replacement? Again, who knows? 2 weeks? 3 weeks? A month?

Might as well get your name in the portal now and get ahead of this a bit rather than wait it out. I wouldn't want to stick around this dumpster fire any longer.

I'm sure they are, but now they're going to have to make this look like some sembelance of a real investigation, which is going to take time. Unneeded time at that.

Why not announce this new early in the week, like on Monday? They were a full week removed from the players starting to hit the portal at that point? Why wait? What could have they possibly gained by waiting this entire week to officially announce they're moving forward with an investigation?
