What you think happened skyblade?

If Brannen negotiates a settlement, we will probably never know. If we fire him with cause, we probably will. That's likely one reason being given to Brannen to right now to get him to leave peacefuly. His head coaching career is probably over if he is fired with cause.

So much has been thrown around in the rumor mill it's hard to know what has actually happened. I also don't know what justifies with cause.

If I had to guess I'd say it's going to be related to mental health or racial insensitivity. The changing up practice times on the day of may also be something. Who knows really.

It seems like if brannen was racist or terrible, they should be able to find cause really easy. Not sure why it’s taking so long. Unless it’s not those things.

this i'm guessing. It's a freaking joke. This is what we're burning our program down for?

I keep waiting for something bad to come out, and every time a scoops pops up its like, really?

It just makes no sense.
Yep, we keep hearing about how terrible the guy is, the parent gets a chance to talk, and this is what we get. Are we sure brannen did something wrong? Starting to question it

there's a scenario where he did something bad but nobody is talking about it publicly.

there's also a scenario where he blew cunningham off cause he knew it was BS and now cunningham is out to get him.

and then a bunch of other scenarios too im sure. but this is an awful look for us.

If the admin has gotten this far and made a statement I am guessing there is more to it. But not coddling them is not going to get it done. Talking behind their backs and stuff would be borderline. Broken promises would be a problem. Racism would be fireable...but I haven't seen anything there yet. Telling people what to wear or what not to where for an organizational event happens everywhere you go. Business casual for a formal event with an explanation of what that includes or does not include seems normal.

This is gonna be interesting

What statement did they make though? That now 2 weeks after their own investigating they are hiring an outside firm to try to find dirt?

My first take on this is "we are gonna F this up" and it looks like we will again. I am talking about the administration here. They will botch it or take too much time or something to put us back behind the 8 ball. We are already behind...but making that a lot worse is gonna cost us another couple of years at best.

Well we know there has likely already been some dirt that showed up. Maybe they wanted to move on from Brannen after that. Brannen said no. Now we have to make a statement to make the process official. The coach and players need to be heard from...all of them. Stories have to be verified or if it's just he said she said. Most of that has probably already been done. Maybe bring them in each one last time to get official statements or retractions etc.

Either way...it seems to be botched (again)

The players and coaches need to get a fair shake here to be heard. If we take the approach that we don't have the students backs...that won't be good. And if we take the approach that we will fire a coach without due process or reasons that won't look good. There will be some fancy language in the end that won't really help but will take the onus off the administration one way or another. It's easier I guess to blame one person than the many.

But if there are not some serious allegations (which is the only thing that would help anyone understand) it's gonna be a shit show

Don't we have any intelligent board members or donors to manufacture a better response? Good God these people probably have consultants and lawyers at their side. I mean the fans seem to see things the brass cannot. Put 5-10 highly educated and experienced people in a room and develop a plan that makes sense please. We can get this done with 3-5 B-talk forum posters.

I kid but really it's half serious here. We don't know the allegations but we could probably root through those and say...yeah or ney pretty quick.

There is a LOT at stake here. P5 aspirations. Program history. This is a HUGE deal! Get it right...don't drag your feet!!

I'm hoping for serious allegations at this point, it is the only thing that works out well for us and makes sense. There is no way Brannen continues to coach here after this. He has been effectively hamstrung (and let's be honest, he's was pretty hamstrung even before this). The only question is if/how much we will be paying.

The whole thing has been a mess. Former players going after guys who are transferring (I'm starting to think Cronin had good reason to distance himself from them). Complete silence for two weeks and now this.

Either they have allegations that allow the firing of Brannen with cause (I'd guess on Monday or Tuesday) or this whole things has been mismanaged and Cunningham should be next on the list of people to fire. I'm hoping for the former.

That is absolutely hilarious, imagine being so self entitled
I don't even know what the complaint is. A parent can be involved in their kid's life without being involved with the program. No parent should ever feel entitled to be involved in the program.

You said today would be the day they announced. I think the statement was a reaction to the silence for two weeks. Ultimately they will say they found nothing substantial and nothing changes.

Sorry skyblade

I imagine covid protocols kept the players mom from helping with dinners etc..,

Uc is never getting into a p5. Ship has sailed... probably shouldn’t even bring that up.
