Really like what he brings to our team. He will cause matchup problems down the road with his size and ability to finish. He is freakishly athletic-Melvin Levitt, Darnell Wilks, you name it. I saw him throw down an alley-oop in the Deveroes Summer League that was one of the top 5 dunks I've ever seen. He also has that knack for getting down the lane and creating easier shots.

I just wished he would open his eyes when he drives to the basket and shoots the ball...He plays 100 mph but for the most part seems in control. However, he rushes the hell out of his shot when he drives to the lane. Once he figures out how to add a little touch close to the rim he should be very productive.

His defense has actually surprised me. He's gotten lost quite a few times but he is very active with those long arms.

I have to disagree about Shaq playing at 100mph all the time...many times he backs down his defender or gets in the lane and pivots looking to create a shot or a pass...his passing does need to improve...he also has body control...rubles drives to the lane at 100mph with no control...at least the two of them are driving to the lane

i really think shaq is the determining factor on how much damage this team inflicts. More confidence, repetitions and added bulk will lead to a 1st thru 3rd team big east player down the road. This team needs any extra firepower it can get. I say give him more of sanders minutes and that will straighten out the kinks in his game. Kid has the best potential on the team and maybe in the league.

I sorta wonder how Rubles has made it this long without someone trying to change his shot. Most D1 players have at least a respectable shot that just needs to be tweaked a little. The scarier thing-he was a 6'2 guard just a few years ago, any coach letting a guard shoot like that should be fired.

I think Mick forgot he was on the team yesterday. He needs playing time if we want him to improve. I guess it could've been a matchup thing, but what's the deal? I think he has earned more than a minute of pla, regardless of matchups.

Cronin said in his post game comments that he could not find minutes for shaq. He felt the game was getting to physical. He also said something about Shaq's roommate got more minutes than him in a joking manner. I didn't catch who shaq's rommate is.

LOL, his roommate is probably Eppeinsteiner. :)

He said "your roommate weights more than you"

And I can agree to that, that game was a bruiser. Shaq would've gotten manhandled. I think we knew early on that game was gonna come down to who played tougher. The Cats for all their flaws played tough yesterday and brought the intensity, especially rebounding the ball.

Agreed. The offensive rebounding was excellent. Some of the best I've seen. Especially against at Mike Rice coached team.
