This quote is strangely reassuring. Even though we didn't get him, I like that Mick drew a line in the sand and applied resources elsewhere when it didn't seem like it was going to go his way. Mick seems good at putting the nonsense behind and getting on to the next challenge.
I think how we match up against teams like St. John's and others with defensive minded, lanky, shot blocking, low post players will be interesting. With our collection of guards and guard/wing players we should be able to spread the floor and pull him away from the basket leaving lots of room to drive. If JJ can develop a 10-15ft jumper at least enough that other teams would have to respect it that could pull post players away from the basket leaving lots of room for back door cuts and slashing drives.
