Saw this topic brought up in another thread, thought I would make a poll.

Like I said in the thread, I think Gold star has better cheese coneys, and skyline has better three ways.

Skyline............and it's not even close.

For those peasants that prefer Gold Star, please explain the advantages or reasons for preferences, as this has always befuddled my mind.

Honestly, I'll go typically (only) when it's cold, and usually inside a mall or at UC games.

Gold Star for coneys, and here's why:
  • Gold Star Chili is slightly spicier in terms of heat,
  • Gold Star Chili is less spicy in a cumin, cinnamon (or whatever) sort of way,
  • Gold Star Chili is less runny, which leads to less bun sogginess,
  • Gold Star's buns and hot dogs are better.

I am a coney guy, so Gold Star is my chili of choice. I will admit though that I prefer Skyline (though I like the taste less) for 3-ways. The runnier chili lends itself well to a spaghetti-sauce type application.

I am damn close to closing this thread and banning anyone who says Gold Star over Skyline.

I'm hungry, so I'll take either right now.

The real question is FiveGuys or In-N-Out burger.

Exactly.

Gold star coneys are 10 times better. Unless you are a fan of the soggy and extremely small, no meat coneys. Then I can understand why you like skyline.

Though, as said above, the runniness (lack of meat) skyline has to offer in there chilli does make the 3-way better then gold stars...simply because the juices get soaked up in the spaghetti. Having said that- Gold Star Coneys are still better then Skyline 3-ways.

Lobot just got repped. I have no idea what Rubios or Wahoos is....unless those are chocolate drinks, or is that Yoohoo. :)

Woah....

A double-double with fries and (their classic) shake coming back from Newport Beach:

Priceless.

It's one thing to eat a burger, it's another to eat it in the car coming home from surfing. You guys are missing context here.
