54 points against the worst team in the conference when they have 19 turnovers and UC gets 10 more shots than UCF.

Well with all the one possession scenarios for beating a top team, now there is at least one for losing to a sub 250 RPI team.

He might be trying to rebuild the team's confidence....they looked a little demoralized today.

They should be demoralized because it didn't look like anyone gave a shit. Outside of about 5 minutes from Shaq.

One FT by Deberry epitomizes the enthusiasm we showed today. Deberry banked his first in...Clark walked over with the speed of my great grandpa with his walker the day before died. Gave the most uninspiring low 5...walked back to his low block spot with his head down emotionless even slower.

And I think he was the only player to go over to Deberry.

Maybe the aneurysm did more than we thought or is having a delayed effect. Might want to get rechecked.

I don't mind hitting shots at a low % when I see passion on the court. But how do you expect to make shots when you don't seem to care?

This was not the effort I was expecting and now I'm extremely worried that we won't make the tourney.

I think our coach is the only person on the planet who wants the team to play like this. He should probably step away after this season.

We have one of the best guards in the country. We'll be fine!

South Florida was #280 in KenPom and is now 3-14 and our coach thinks it's beautiful that they had a clean look to tie the game. If we played a team in the top 75% of D-1, we would've got killed today.

Under Mick Cronin when playing @USF (their record at time of game):
2006-07 L 74-59 (9-8)
2008-09 L 70-59 (8-20)
2009-10 L 65-57 (15-9)
2011-12 L 46-45 (17-11)
2013-14 W 61-54 (10-7)
2015-16 W 54-51 (3-13)

He's never won a game by double figures down there...

PERSONNEL

1) Ellis---big disappointment--not as good as we hoped
2) Thomas--can't shoot--not nearly as good as we hoped
3) Caupain--inconsistent--turnover ready to happen
4) Moore--why is he playing all of a sudden? What has he done?
5) Clark--good rebounder--that's it
6) Johnson--inconsistent--just not that good
7) DeBerry---Not bad as a backup--actually has played better this year
8) Jenifer---who knows? Is he legit?
9) Evans---He is pretty good
10) Cobb---inconsistent--

Overall Rating----just not that good--offensive scheme has been questioned for years---expectations just way too high for this bunch!!

A win is a win, 12 o clock game coming off of a hard fought lost to Smu, if we lost this game I think are season might had been over psychologically for our players. After the Tulsa game I thought we were going to start turning up the intensity, but this game makes me think that could be a one game deal. It needs to be an every game thing to play with intensity and today they definitely did not.....

Feel like it is 2008 or 2009 again. SMH....

I don't disagree with most of what he said. We shot horribly and if we gave the same defensive effort that we did against Temple we probably would have lost by 10.

Cronin has been saying he wants better defense and rebounding and he got it today while winning an ugly ass offensive game.

I don't believe he doesn't care about our record...that is all coach speak. He is trying to get his players to play hard even when they aren't scoring.

I think if we shot the ball like we did against Tulsa the final score would have been similar. The defensive pressure was pretty good we just didn't put the ball in the hoop.

I can agree with most of what you are saying however our intensity was not there tonight. Inexcusable with our record...its do or die time!! USF is horrible...that's why we held them to the score we did. They actually made several lucky shots too.
